Is 2-0 a given against Kentucky?

Of course. Baseball is very predictable.

Ah the game LSU scored 7 runs. Sorry.

Kentucky also put up 6 on our ace. That doesn’t leave a big margin of error in game 1 when both teams will be starting their best pitching.

You can't leave out Jobert gifting them game 2 if you going to bring up winning game 3 by one run.

My point is, it won’t be a cakewalk like the OP describes

I do not think it will be a cakewalk. I posted this in response to everyone that is already marking 2-0 down.

I like our chances against their lineup with Skenes and Floyd on the mound. I expect a better outing for Floyd against Kentucky and Skenes is Skenes he is going to be fine and I would doubt they have a similar result against him.

Also with the way Hurd has been pitching he is a terrible matchup for Kentucky. Whether that means we got 2-1 or 2-0 I don't know nor do I care I just want to win the series and I like our chances with Floyd and Skenes on the bump and with our arms out of the bullpen the way they have been pitching.

Skenes had arguably his worst game of the season

When you're up 14-1 after 3 innings you tend to lose a bit of urgency.

Skenes was literally tossing up softball pitches to Kentucky after LSU was up by 13 runs in the 4th.

It doesn't matter if the fans are "underestimating" KY, its how the team focuses that counts. We've already faced KY, team knows what its ups against.

My only enduring memory of Kentucky baseball is that meteorite that Clark hit against them at their place a few years ago. (It was Clark, right? Old age + fading memory = uncertainty.)

LSU run ruled them in the first game. If Jobert catches that pop up, LSU sweeps them.
