I think our 2014 Offense will look a lot like our 2006 Offense

- Throwing QB with the threat to run
- Ability to spread the field with speedy recievers
- bruising back(s) who will have wide open lanes.

Thoughts?

Disagree here. I think it'll be a movement toward bigger receivers. Smith at TE will be a playmaker. Leslie and Quille on the outside and Dural in there too.

I doubt leslie sees the field much, especially if all the WR's that are expected to commit do commit

This. I remember this vividly! LSU was down 4 laying 3.5 points. Every time we got close the damn flags came pouring out! It was obvious and blatant!

The UT game was the only time he had a significant run.
He probably averages less than 10 yards rushing per game over his 3 years.

Running game was pretty weak in 2006.

I think it'll look more like 07 than 06, but have its own identity. Jennings kinda reminds me of Flynn, and like 07 the OL should be pretty experienced, but WR corps inexperienced (opposite was true in 06). looking forward to it.

Once Les has the trust in his QB, he will let open the playbook. If not, toss dive, which I may add, is a good play. 06 had a great group of receivers. I hope by 2015, the new crop can play like those guys in 06 did.

Maybe we see the offense similar to Jimbo's. A lot of good WR's, RB's, and TE's who need to be on the field together.

And about the QB comparisons, I agree with others that AJ has the potential to be as good or better than Boyd. BHarris reminds me of Winston.

This offense will have a new identity. A smart mobile quarterback and nice running backs. However the Receivers will be new however they are very talented. Give some time to adjust and the offense will be unstoppable. Especially with Cam calling the plays.

Yes, I would it to look more like 07 than 06. Nevertheless, I don't think the offense will be anywhere close to as effective as it was in 06 or 07. With a 1st time starter at QB, Miles will be VERY conservative with the passing game. Very simple routes (85% will be outside the hashes) and limited use of the middle of the field. The offense was always going to take a step back losing the skill guys LSU is expected to lose, but in terms of the offensive game plan, I expect 2014 to look a lot like 2009-2010. The only difference is hopefully Jennings can be a more accurate passer that Jefferson
