Now that I see more Nuss , I am not impressed . With all the hi tech video , game tape , film study ava to him at the LSU football bldg , he can’t read a blitz or a defense . Spotty with accuracy , throws high . Against Alabama , he tried to run to the sideline for a very doable first down , extends the ball and goes out 2 yards short , because there was an Alabama defender 5 yds away . Just a disaster .

Square peg into a round hole regarding the offense identity. The failure is not accounting for his deficiencies in his first year as a starter. He would benefit from a more standard run game where he can utilize play action vs the faux PA/read look they use..

Posters on here dont want to hear it but the lack of running game is messing up Nuss bad right now. He wasnt doing this earlier in the year. Hes starting to press.

I agree. I still don’t understand why we’re not constantly talking about the fact that we’re running an offense that does not fit his skill set. Add to it the complete lack of a running game and drop in WR talent. Nuss has played poorly no doubt, but our coaching staff has set him up for failure.

He isn’t a championship caliber quarterback. He has always been turnover prone. There is a reason why CBK went out and got Jayden Daniels when he came to LSU.
Everytime someone post about Nuss someone brings up JD as if his teams didn’t lose an average of 3 games a year. Dude was exciting and got really good but he didn’t win many games he wasn’t supposed to at LSU and he had 2 first round WRs. Nuss is playing without a true #1 WR and absolutely no running game.

He’s running out of time to become really good.
No he’s not. JD was scared to throw the ball his first year at LSU and only gained confidence when his two top WRs were running free all over the field. At that point JD had 30+ starts. You posters act like it didn’t take JD until his fifth year to finally get better.

If JD was on the team this year he wouldn’t throw the ball at all he would just run every down because the receivers are bad and can’t be trusted to make a catch.

Yet the Heisman winner lost 3 to 5 games every year he started

And lost at minum 3 games a year in Kellys system. Underwood could come here and still lose 3 or more games a year under Brian Kelly.

Kelly has been a D1 coach for 23 years and has lost 3 games or more in 19 of those years

Not being able to run sounds like a problem a pussy team with a pussy coach would have.
