Last years recruiting class included : Starks and brooks. I think the days of the huge slower bruising LB's maybe numbered. Not many Devin white types out there.Players that are big and really fast that can cover Rb's out of backfield .After watching our bigger Slower LB's struggle in coverage against faster Rb's does LSU start recruiting Debo types only at LB? what i mean is quick lighter Lb's out of high school and add muscle to that speed in a year or two kinda like patrick queen?

How fast is Divinity right now? He looked awful thick through the middle region on Saturday.

I think we see a little less of him and Phillips going forward and more Queen, Clark, Anthony...

Against some teams, yes. Against Bama, Miss St and possibly A & M it works against us.

Didnt brooks play some on Sat? i think this young guy needs more PT along with queen. Anthony and Thornton just can seem to get it going when they are in the game.

Divinity just needs to move back to his pass rushing spot instead of being an inside linebacker. He was awful in coverage, I don't think he's fast enough to make an impact at MLB

All I know is that Divinity didn't look lighter OR faster. We was waaay too thick around the middle.

no question... he is not a Mike... now maybe in a run heavy scheme he could be a mike but i dont think hes better than damone or Queen... phillips is our most "solid" LB... Queen is the fastest. And Damone will take over the most "solid" LB spot as the year goes.. Divinty should be where Thorton is... on the other side of Chaisson against run heavy offenses... Jacoby in there vs PAss in the qtrs... so its either divinty or stevens in the game... Damone and Phillips with Queen spelling them at the first sign of being tired in the middle...

LSU has been doing it for years under Chavis with Debo Jones, Kwon Alexander and Duke Riley. Orgeron has been moving away from it with Damone Clark, Queen and McCallum.

did you not see Divinity directing defenders where to be? That is why he is there and will continue there. Brooks' play was directly bc of Divinity directing him. Divinity had a solid 4th quarter, too. The season is young.

at thinking Anthony is going to take time from Divinity and Phillips.

Posters need to quit gleaning crap from games involving Big 12 opponents. How many of those are left on the schedule?
