would be played at Independence Stadium every year in Shreveport.

I think it's a great idea considering they've tried (and failed in my opinion) to make this game into LSU's big rivalry game of the year (the Boot, playing on Friday after Thanksgiving...every freakin' year).
I think moving the game to a permanent location like Shreveport would very much be in line with trying to create the rivalry and making it a special yearly event.
I'm with you, though. Because of revenue I don't see it happenning.

While we are comparing Shreveport and Baton Rouge populations, why don't we show how brutal he was in saying Fayetteville only has 60K?

According to Wikipedia:
Shreveport 200,145 metro 375,965
Baton Rouge 229,661 metro 790,037
Fayetteville 67,158 metro 420,876
Little Rock 184,422 metro 841,324

So the game is already played in the two largest potential cities (playing it every year in NOLA or Dallas is NOT an option). I would personally like to move it from Little Rock to Fayetteville because I hate driving three hours to watch a "home" game when I live 10 minutes from the Arkansas campus. I also think selling 76,000 tickets is a better idea than 55,000 but maybe I am using some crazy new math that the administration doesn't get.

Whatever assclown. I'm not the one who said that BR has a lesser population than Shreveport/Bossier. Bossier might be a "whole other town", but it's basically a community that fled from Shreveport due to its shitholeishness.

The I Bowl is in SHREVEPORT. Not both. And believe me, having lived in both cities, Baton Rouge has much more to offer. There's no need for LSU to play a homegame 4 hours away. That's just dumb. Hell, let's play in Monroe and Lafayette, too, then!! Let's be the traveling circus!

Bring in Tulane. Then maybe you can win every year.

Arkansas also already plays a neutral site game every year for the next 10 or so in Dallas with Texas A&M. Two neutral site games a year is just not going to happen.

Yeah, with the A&M deal no need for another neutral site game for Arkansas. I doubt moving it to Shreveport would guarantee the $$$ the A&M games will.

I think that most LSU fans enjoy ... would prefer keeping the game in the Rock to keep from driving an extra 3 hours to Fayetteville.

Not true here. I would gladly drive the extra three hours to play both on the campus and in a real stadium. War Memorial is a piece of crap.

how about arky goes to a conference they can actually win in instead of their current goal of an upset game every now and then? Right now all they seem to want to do is tear down their own conference and never show up in the post-season (they think they are still in the SWC and we are Texas). Maybe go to Big XII and start a new "fake rivalry" with mizzou and play at a neutral site? We can saw that retarded golden boot in two and give them their half.

The SEC could bring in somebody that can win a bowl game. Louisville, GT, Clemson, FSU (not that they would leave ACC)... hell I would even take ULL or Tulane over lil-scrappy arky.

You make that your only post?

Do you even know what you are talking about?

Yea, the Weed Eater bowl would have to get some substantial upgrades to even have a chance. The LSU Arkansas game should be a more important game than the Arkansas A&M game, yet that game is going to be in the most impressive football venue on Earth every year and the LSU Arkansas game is going to be in the Weed Eater bowl...hahaha

I like the idea. A lot of teams have neutral sites for the game every year. Shreveport is a good location, as it's about in the middle. That will also give the north louisiana, east texas, and south arkansas a chance to see LSU every year.

Don't get your panties in a wad over losing to us the last two seasons and wish for a team you could just show up and defeat. How about sacking up and playing LSU Tiger football and stomping our @$$, if you're able!

Listen, we finally got an SEC caliber coach and once he has his type of athletes in place we will do a helluva lot more than an occasional upset game every now and then.
Or could that be what really frightens you, that we are on the up swing and you are worried that your team won't be able to keep up?

The majority of Razorbacks fans have nothing but respect for the SEC and don't think for a moment that the Big12 schools and their fans wouldn't love to replace a Baylor or another weak sister with the Razorbacks. In fact we deal with this very subject on an almost weekly basis on our message boards from fans of one of the Big12 schools, that tell us what a great fit our program would be for their conference.

99.9% of Razorbacks fans responding always says how much we enjoy being a part of such a special conference and that we wouldn't leave the SEC for the Big12 under any circumstances.

You might also want to stop and think about who the weakest teams historically have been since the SEC's expansion. Teams like Vanderbilt, Old Myth, MSU and USC-E have ALL done far worse on the gridiron than has my Hogs. Not to mention that we have also won in baseball, basketball and track & field on the National level, which reflects very well on the SEC.

This year, in a season that was our worst in quite a while we still managed a pair of conference wins, which is more than Old Myth was able to accomplish a couple years a go (they won zero, nada, zilch)!

In the future try and think "before" you speak, it'll make you look a lot less ignorant.

Who cares?

It's a good idea in theory but LSU at this point has nothing to gain. Missouri/Illionis started doing this to bring attention to the rivalry but LSU is too established.

However at this point I'd just like to beat Arkansas.

Yeah, lets give up a HOME game every other year. Brilliant plan! Why didn't we think of this one earlier!
