1) He will recruit his arse off....good luck if anyone feels they can come into LA and get the best.

2) Aranda stays...best in the business

3) He WILL get a good OC! What is all the bitchin about....in mid-year, he let Ensminger loose and what happened, two games with record offenses!! What would happen if we have a OC who is allowed to run their schemes and has a spring to put it in place

4) People point to his experience at Ole Miss..the greatest teacher is experience.....can anyone NOT look back and wish they had done things differently?

5) Even if we got herman, his heart was in Texas, and who knows, in two years could have bolted to the longhorns! O WANTS the job, and has PASSION for the school and players. The players feed off the passion

6) Herman may be the next Meyer...However, Houston tanked against Navy and yesterday's game and game management against Memphis was average.

7) "Strong" rule...Charlie Strong was the next Urban Meyer also three years ago at Louisville....yet, that did not translate at the next level

Finally, when was the last time you saw an LSU team do what they've done to A & M and Arky...total domination. Again, remember, he has had to use Miles's system.

Give the man a chance...Team, fans, players behind him!!

I say it's a perfect fit at the right time!

Why does arranda stay?

How do you know he will get an OC?

If o did a good enough job to get the hc spot why does ensminger not get to stay oc?

Aranda isn't staying. He'll join Herman and Texas will have the staff LSU should have had if we hadn't bee morons.

Even though I'm disappointed in the hire, a lot of this is true. Especially the recruiting side. Say what you want about his tenure at Ole Miss, but his recruiting was what set their program up for the success they're having today. As long as he keeps our talent level high, it really won't matter what happens as far as his wins/losses go because he'll set us up for hopefully a home run hire who can win immediate national championships when Alleva and F King are gone.

Herman just hand picked his DC last year. If they were such good friends why didn't Aranda go to Herman's staff last year? It was open. They may have hated each other as roommates. Money and the talent pool will keep Aranda here.

I have a really hard time believing that Ed Orgeron was the best possible hire that Louisiana State University could have possibly made.

I agree!

My top choices all along we're;
1) Herman (with a no kissing clause in his contract)
2) Jimbo
3) Orgeron (with an elite OC)

If Herman wouldn't agree to the fore mentioned no kissing clause he would drop down to third.
