I do as well. There's nothing for us here. I don't want to be part of a conference that is going to hold a gun to our head while not doing it to other member institutions.

This is what concerns me here moving forward. The fact that they even threatened expulsion and had Presidents, chancellors representing other universities under the SEC willing to remove LSU over nothing is alarming. These people don't care about LSU. This isn't right at all.

My concern is they will threaten this again anytime something is even remotely questionable, but yet allow others to skate by under some kind of gray area. It's so wrong what they have done here. They have never done this towards any other schools. I think I saw maybe 2 schools have ever been removed from a conference and it wasn't even for scandals. It was for being bad on the field or not caring about the athletics much.

Why do you think the B1G would be better?
Their president/conference was the first one to condemn what LSU was doing.
They look down on the South and anything to do with the South.
Yes, we have the sports (53 National Championships), but our academics might be at the bottom of the conference, and they strongly consider that.

I'm no BIG fan, but I can't imagine even they would have threatened expulsion. I could be wrong though.

Id be willing to entertain the thought if we could do it for just Football.

But Baseball especially, and quite a few other sports would really suffer in a different conference.

We need to leave the SEC. The individuals in Birmingham have revealed their true biases. How can we compete knowing that those in charge are against our institution? LSU should not remain in this situation without a change in leadership. We should even demand a move away from Birmingham. It's essential for LSU's leaders to consider all options; failing to do so would be a dereliction of their duty.

While things have cooled down, I do hope LSU explores every avenue to one day give the SEC the finger and leave.

If I were LSU’s administration, I’d be exploring options thru back channels NOW. The relational damage is done.
