I don't see a program that's in a significantly better position than LSU and it's only a matter of time before the hardware starts coming.
None of this will happen unless Kelly is able to fix the running game.
Simple as that.
I'd say other than special teams all other phases are progressing.

If you're saying Kelly made Daniels then you have to say Orgeron made Burrow. I don't believe either of those are true.
Apples to oranges. Kelly has his fingerprints all over the offense and was absolutely an integral piece to Jayden developing into an elite player. Jayden himself will tell you that. Orgeron had no input on offense. Brady and Ensminger ran that entire side of the ball.

So you think the only measure of success is a natty? So Saban was a failure most years?

quote:That worked to perfection just like Kelly predicted.
“He was in an offensive structure and system which was really built towards ball control this past year, playing to a very good defense,” Kelly said to reporters that March. "We think that there’s a lot that has not been tapped into with his ability to be a dual-threat quarterback. He’s got arm talent, he’s got a high I.Q. and he can run the football. He’s a talented runner of the football. He wasn’t asked to do that [at Arizona State]. He was more of an extender of plays. We think there is much more to that than what he’s brought over the last couple of years.”
When Orgeron was trying to replace Joe Brady for the two seasons following 2019, he didn't even know enough about the offense to choose his own OCs. And let's not forget the disastrous Canada hire. Orgeron does not know offense. He knows ZERO about QB development,

scrambling isn't a run game
that was 100% all JD, none of that was a planned play.
the oline's contribution to that 'running game' was failing to block and forcing JD to do what no other qb on earth has been able to do.

JB mechanically and knowledge wise mostly developed himself. It is widely known that he lived in the training center watching film his entire grad year.
Sometimes all a coach needs to do is instill confidence in a player and believe in them and in turn, they believe in themselves
quote:
"Coach O, you have no idea what you mean to my family," Burrow said. "I didn't play for three years. You took a chance on me, not knowing if I could play or not, and I'm forever grateful for you. Can you imagine a guy like Coach O giving me the keys to his football program? He just means so much to me and my family and to LSU. I sure hope they give him a lifetime contract — he deserves it."

Idk how people look at our recruiting and have hate for him. I cant wait to watch Bryce play here, among other stars.

Let’s see BK has played for a natty and been to the playoffs twice but he’s no good.
Kiffin has never been to a playoff or played for the natty but he’s a program saver.
Our fans never cease to amaze me

Where do you fricking retards come from? Some of y’all don’t deserve LSU

Is Kelly elite? He’s good but he’s elite? Elite coaches win championships! Is that Kelly?
There are 3 active coaches who have won nattys
THREE!
Mack Brown
Dabo
Kirby Smart
Which one of those are you gonna get to come to Baton Rouge?
If not them, and not Kelly, then who would you like? Give me a legit answer
I bet you can’t

What the frick is wrong with you man?
Seriously, if not Kelly, then who would you hire? Give me one name

So because the program has averaged a championship every ~7 years, nobody should be positive about Kelly 2.5 years into his tenure?
How long did it take, Saban, Miles, and that Neanderthal, Orgeron?

Everyone saw what he did with that transfer QB nobody wanted (JD5).
Giving BK the credit for what Jayden did is laughable! All BK did was keep JD from winning a championship with that defense!

It's not blind faith. It's looking at and accepting the facts.
If you want to talk about being blind, you'd have to be blind to not see all of those facts and want to get rid of Kelly.

Nick Saban
Les Miles
Ed Orgeron
Brian Kelly
One of these rosters is not like the others.

Miles followed the greatest coach of all time (who averaged 3 loses a year here) and was left with talent and a great foundation.
Kelly followed Orgeron who burned everything to the ground on his way to Destin.
