Without Landrys homeruns, his batting average is .179. Does he need to be moved out of the 1 or 2 hole because it is obvious that he isnt trying to get on base this season. Now he is trying to be known as a power hitter so he is swinging for the fences at every AB. That is not what we need out of a leadoff batter.
Just my opinion.

no, he's fine where he is at.
the competition will get harder, and those HR's will become singles and doubles as the season goes on.

I set the King Leonidas Landry HR betting line at 18.5
I think that's a little better
and seeing as he wasn't even on my radar for such a power supply, I'll say at or over, risking my fake money and taking over

He just needs to get in his mind that hes not going to hit a HR every time AB.

nic pontiff?? i dont think he's an everyday starter and from what i've read in the NOLA paper he's hit a few homeruns in the past week or so...
and i also agree with your homerun predictions

We've almost won this one only 13 games into the season!

rouge should be an odds maker.

Leon's got pop. He'll hit double digit HRs. I'm saying 14.

I bet $1,000.00 leon hits at least 9, and yes you do suck at making lines.

OP, don't accept!

considering Leon has one HR since March 10, was this REALLY an inappropriate number in hindsight?

I agree with you right here Rouge, At the time everyone wanted the over because Landry was "hot". This is a game of percentages and averages and everything always averages out. It was great that he was hot but did not think that was a bad line at all at the time because of his prior years HR total and the fact he had to cool off.

At the time, yes. I think he had 5 when you posted this, with like 40 games to play. On this thread I said
So far, this is where they stand:
LeMaheiu 3
Landry 9
Schimpf 12
Dean 8
Gibbs 5
So LeMaheiu is probably the only one that doesn't get there. Like I said also, players improve. I actually think Landry hitting all the homeruns early made him think he should swing for the fences every at bat, and that's why he's performing poorly.
