THIS + An Obama Stimulus Package

If you don't LOVE what and who Jacob Hester was at LSU then you don't love LSU. Period. End of Story.

well, one play in a preseason game doesnt change my opinion, sorry

see, these are the "negative" comments about hester. people drastically overrate his impact/effectiveness, other people tell them to pump their brakes, those people are hester haters

it never fails

how many people were labeled as hester haters in the grear jacob hester vs. darren mcfadden debate of 07?

He never was looked at as a RB. All of the NFL people had him projected as a FB.

Look at Joe Addai who had limited playing time at LSU. been starting with Colts for 4-5 years.

Matt Flynn who many on the rant said would not make it in the NFL. A solid backup in Green Bay that may coaches think could start on a couple of teams like Phoenix, Denver, and San Francisco

I know I am proud that Hester played at LSU and he is the exact type of player we need right now. That being said, what it takes to win in college isn't even close to what it takes to win in the NFL. You can will yourself into a gamer in college and that is why he was so good here. In the NFL its a little different. He will always be on a NFL team because of his drive which is plenty enough of an accomplishment for this tiger fan.

Nope.

He was drafted at the top of the 3rd round.

somewhat surprising to me too, never thought he was that good of a run blocker at FB. always thought he'd be more of a backup RB/ tweener type like Fred McCrary or Brad Hoover. happy to see him starting.

The Rant was absolutely nuts when Hester was getting the majority of the carries when he was here.

yea hester seems more like a west coast FB who is more of a receiver than a blocker

he was so effective at this role in 2006

You're an idiot. Very few, if any, people said that Hester was not good enough to play in the NFL. They said that he wasn't good enough to play tailback in the NFL...and they were right.

But everyone kept saying give the ball to Keiland Williams more than you give it to Hester. Williams will be the higher pick in the NFL draft and a better NFL player.

I think this sells Hester short (I know you were praising him, so nothing personal). He has TALENT. You don't get to the NFL on heart.

But I did love how he ran to the sticks. His "football smarts" are off the charts. He was great at making "succesful" runs, getting the yards needed on each play (well, except Kentucky...)

bullshite. I sat and read most of those stupid arse posts. I'm not sure if I remember you as being one of the amazing talent scouts but I'm guessing by your response that you were one.

It's ok dude, I've always thought you were not very smart.

And MOST of the posts were about how it was nice that he got drafted, but he wasn't going to be playing for long.

Stop trying to stir up shite. Most LSU people LOVE Jacob Hester. Now go make Jay Walker a sandwich.
