Looks like there’ll be a good crowd.
It may not be a very sexy match up, but it's good for ticket sales. LSU has a large fan base in Houston and it's an easy drive from Baton Rouge. Considering that we only sold about 3,500 tickets to last year's bowl game, this is a win for LSU.

Who in their right mind can justify the expense of spending that kind of money to go watch a football game when you can watch the same game with a better view at home?

Well someone has got to show up to drink those $14 lukewarm draft beers… Take one for the team!

Is football still being played? I don't know because I gave up on the season when the team gave up on the aTm game and I had no interest anymore.

penman…And any positive expression of support. Must be a bummer to wake up unhappy every day
I'm just not excited about a lower-tier bowl game with less than our full team. This game is meaningless, and I'm at least being honest and acknowledging that.

I'll be watching on my 85" in my great great room a-hole.
BTW, I was in Vegas pulling for my Tigers.

You seem to be on a kick of calling people "cheerleaders" but aren't you the same guy who is constantly talking about being in the band?
Given the choice I'd much prefer to be a cheerleader, surrounded by all those hot girls. Being in the band isn't exactly an endorsement of one's manhood.

yeah frick that. i have a personal stake in this one regardless of how meaningless it is in terms of our goals and expectations.
i live in Waco, my wife is an administrator at Baylor and did her PhD there. my mom’s a Baylor grad as is my sister, her husband (PhD), and 3 of their 4 kids.
my oldest son is a Baylor grad, my middle son will graduate from Baylor next December, and my youngest son AND stepson are both freshman at Baylor having just finished their first semester.
and I’m the only LSU grad of our sad, sorted lot (there was no fricking way this blue blood coonass was ever going anywhere else but LSU).
I’m actually a big fan of Baylor: my kids have received, now and in the past, an excellent education and experience here. And the perks from her job are amazing (for example, all of our kids received 100% tuition remission and allowed scholarships to be used for room/meal plans/books, etc). Free education for 4 kids at an R1 university? Sign us up.
Furthermore my wife has to go to every home game and enjoys primo and unlimited access to all sporting events, her particular access required multiple security clearances, including an extremely thorough federal screening, for her particular job, which means i do not get to follow along. But they do supply me with excellent seats for free. And i enjoy it and root for them.
But not this game.
Trust me when I say I’m shite talking nonstop from down to dark to family, friends, my many colleagues who are BU grads and most especially my wife’s friends and colleagues. frick them. frick ALL of ‘em. We’re going to a Xmas party tonight of higher administration and I’m wearing purple and gold.
Should we lose this game…and it’s a definite possibility given how BU has improved across the board each game…the amount of retribution I will endure will be relentless.
But frick it. In for a penny, in for a pound. Hero or zero, nothing else.
Just win, baby.
Btw, any questions about their team I’ll be happy to answer.

Well as a LSU fan I wish we were further along in the rebuild than we
are, but I support the team and will enjoy watching the game.I have been
a fan for over 60 years and will allways root for the players who wear
purple and gold, they deserve that even if you dont like the coach. It is and
allways has been about the players.

Same here1
I grew up in Louisiana and started watching/following LSU in 1962. Even subscribed to The Advocate , while stationed in Charleston, SC. I would have three months of Newspapers, Sports section, to read, when the Submarine Crew came of patrol, to keep up with the Tigers..
