1) OP clearly hasn’t heard of Derrick Brown
2) lol at anticipating Stidham to be anywhere near 9/26 again

Burrow has been at LSU for a few months and the staff is calling in multiple plays and giving him the option to Audible as he sees fit.......Stidham still isn’t given that freedom, and that cost Auburn last year against LSU. Only difference is this year Aranda won’t have to bring Delpit down to stop the run, he can straight blitz him allday long.....

I agree. I think they out stat us in the first half. But the big difference in the game last year, and I think will be again this year, will be Mulzhans unwillingness to make adjustments at half time. Hopefully Coach E will make his. I think that's the difference in this ball game and I think the second half is where Burrow will pad his stats

I love Joe and want him to do well, and will be yelling my head off and ripping my shirt off if he makes it rain at Jordan Hare... but this will be unlike any environment he’s ever played in. I don’t know where you get this hunch from besides your feelings of wanting him to

He's good, but that's debatable.

Not sure why you’re here, but since you chimed in, I’ll provide my opinion on your team. Stidham is head and shoulders better than Fromm. Fromm is a quality qb, but he’s still young and got a lot of help from nick and Sony. UGA loses at 3 this year. First one this weekend. Don’t beat your chest too hard over the Peay win.

Washington’s d-line put pressure on Stitham. Auburn could not run between the tackles. That is so important in this game. Our front seven is much better than Washington’s. Expect Stidham to be under extreme pressure. Remember Auburn’s o-line is their weak link. Tigers will win.

Never said I thought he'd go off for 300 yards and 3 TDs. Just that I think he'll outperform Stidham.

Could I be way off base? Of course. Am I biased? Absolutely. But in watching and reading everything I can find on Burrow and his background, the kid just seems to have the "it" factor and doesn't get rattled easily. Calm, cool, and collected natural leader with a high football IQ and a chip on his shoulder/some swag to boot.

I see an excellent proven QB in Stidham, but one who has historicallly struggled with the types of looks Aranda will give him. And my money's on Aranda over Gus when it comes to in-game adjustments and being one step ahead.

Not saying that Burrow is an overall better QB than Stidham (yet anyways). But give me Burrow in this matchup.

I think there’s good reason to be optimistic about Burrow based off his first game BUT LSU has historically not had much luck in Jordan Hare. And look at what Auburn did to Georgia and Alabama there last year with their front 7 and QB. This game is going to be much harder than Miami. Don’t kid yourself.

I think we can all agree that this game will be much more difficult than playing Miami. Auburn is a better team than Miami, and this isn't at a neutral site.

True. But LSU is 2-3 there over the last 10 years. And very easily could be 3-2 if not for Les' last hurrah with clock management in '16.

We beat them last year, I see no reason why we cannot do the same this year. I realize it was at home and that it was a close game, but I see no reason why we cannot do the same again.

Don't let them get the big play, force a couple of turnovers and protect the ball, we should be right there!

LSU is a deeper and more talented team than Washington. No doubt. Hopefully this weekend we can gel and become more cohesive as a team gearing up for the plains. I think they will. First game jitters are gone. The players are pumped. Plus, you can almost guarantee in a big like this Gus will over think it and try to get cute and muck it all up!

Love everyone’s enthusiasm, but just a reminder.....Stidham beat 2 #1 teams at home last year. Against Georgia and Bama he was 37-51 451 yards 3 tds 0 ints. Those 2 teams went pretty far.

I hope Aranda has a solid plan. I’ve been to Auburn enough to know Burrow will experience something he has not had to deal with before.
