I really hope the 8 team playoff is coming soon

That's the only thing I can be hopeful for. That way we can still lose to Bama each year, miss the SEC championship, and still have a shot to win it all. Assuming we can navigate our schedule and lose one other game at most. The stakes also wouldn't be as high for the Bama game, meaning there would be a better chance they could play down do us. And then the playoffs... could be anyone's guess at that point. Bama would have to win 3 toughies in row, possibly 4. We've also never seen a playoff LSU team?

8 team playoff means you take the top 8 conferences and you have to win CC to get in or you dont get in.
then others talked about random chosen 3 best at large teams using the same popularity contest back room meeting to make those picks, time will tell which it is but im betting they find a way to keep the popularity contest back room meeting to pick at large teams so that they can still put in alabama and ohio state even when they lose CC game
