Woodland reminds me of a faster Ron Brooks. Ron Brooks was CB3/4 during the DBU years and would’ve been 90% of FBS teams #1 guy. Pretty insane we’re even close to that sort of depth again, hell Stamps dropped from CB1 to CB4

It seems to mean more to the guys that come from smaller schools. VT is a good school and program but LSU is a step up from that.
VT has always produced NFL players to be honest. It actually sucks that they aren't good anymore.

I have a very close friend that is VT alum, he isn’t happy.
VT has let some elite guys get away recently. Hendon Hooker was at VT and they hated him.

Their TE Wright from 2 years ago transfered to Ole Miss. He had 400 yards and 4 TDs last year and had 80 yards and a TD in the first game this year.

Ashton Stamps posted his high school camp highlights on his story last night like he was balling, but I watched it and honestly there’s nothing special about it. The talent has elevated since then, and players like him end up being backups.

Great comparison, hope he has Brooks career. Brooks did run a 4.37 though. Great to have some depth in the DB room again.

VT ain't a smaller school no matter how you try to define it.

I agree with you but I think he was trying to say a better program. And although VT was a very good program for Decades they are not and have not been on LSUs level the last 2 decades. But again VT is a big school and program they just are not a top program that they once were.
