The new Alex Box was just built in 2009. That project was a truly epic failure on LSU’s part if we’re having to gut it and completely renovate it 13 years later.

why do our fans think berms are so great?
So they can ignore their kids for three hours while they harass everyone and get in the way of watching the game

I kind of like.

I do not like. Round fully enclosed stadiums cut out the breeze. Old Busch Stadium… where flyballs go to die. Also holds the heat in.
I am not averse to renovation, just this aspect.

More covered seating. It’s hot and rainy.

Yeah just take what's there now, and implement some of this drawing....

Add the chairbacks all the way down the lines and up to the second level of seating behind the concourse and cover it the whole way down and call it a day.

then move the bullpens and the fix batters eye and you have a really nice stadium

The new box was outdated the moment it opened. The architects and engineers left little to any room for growth in the existing footprint. With the Uhigh field and offices for facility management behind left and center, there is little to no room to build out concourses. The newly built indoor BP cages cut do the same in RF. The concourses should’ve been built in such a manner to extend all the way out to the foul poles allowing for space underneath for various purposes.

LSU owns that land and can tell UHigh to move their field.

100+ years of the Army Corps of Engineers telling them levees solve all their problems.

If you build it... The girls in bikinis will come.

And so will I.

That'd be quite a trick at 20 million.
Like the feel of a closed in stadium with the outer OF walls resembling TS and still having the berm(s).
