I predict a bigger melt if we beat Bama.

The Pro-O people will lose their fricking minds crusading against both the anti-O people and the people who didn’t like how the hire played out.

Those people will, rightfully, still be pissed about how Joe went about his business, and will push back. The Pro-O people won’t be able to recognize this as legitimate criticism, in light of a big win, and will taunt/melt/whatever for weeks.

Further, a win at Bama will only bring the Troy loss, and how the hell that happened back to the forefront.

All in all, beating Bama would probably crash this site.

I think any LSU fan would be happy with that melt.

Get on the train or get the hell off. There are no pro or anti O people. There are only true Tiger fans and miserable whiners.

Sure, but go look at any of the 3 or 4 theads about O right now, you can see the back and forth still going strong this morning.

I’m not saying we don’t all want the win, just calling that the meltdown will be amazing afterwards.

I think if we beat Bama, O will win over a lot of people, including myself. However, you were correct about alleva. Dude went about the coaching search all wrong and hired O because he didn’t want to look like a fool when Herman spurned him. I don’t think the O pumpers will understand that if we win or lose against Bama so I really don’t care.

One last point, I really hope O is successful and turns out to be an awesome coach, but I will not let my heart tell me something that my brain does not. Coach O will have to prove himself, luckily for the last 3 weeks he has been.

well that would be dumb. Sometimes hires that make sense don't turn out well and sometimes hires that make no sense turn out well. But I would think we should all be happy if we beat Bama

It's strange because for all practical purposes this board isn't really for discussing LSU football. It's for fans to compete with each other to see who can claim to be the smartest about football which is really kind of dumb. It's an anonymous board

The people who specifically want Alleva out of LSU are not the melting type, unless he gets an extension on his contract. Then you might see some melt, and although it would suck, an extension move like that would put Dr. Alexander center stage for backlash, by the time this drama plays itself out in 1-3 years.
