from this statement you must not have watched us play at all. He couldn't shoot worth a frick. Victor probably hit more mid range jumpers in one game than BS did all year.

this just never happened. Almost every play after a timeout we scored with Simmons on the low block and it was obvious he could dominate anyone down low but it was also obvious BS didn't want to play on the low blocks and remained on the perimeter 70% of the time at least

I'm not going to argue with someone who once called him a 6'10" TJ Pugh. You obviously have a narrative in your head. I'm never going to disabuse you of it. Enjoy remembering Simmons as the 6'10" TJ Pugh that you insist he was.

LSU lost at least. 3 key contributors and leaders off last years team. That is the biggest difference - there is no senior leadership now - what little I've seen of the team this year reminds me of intramural play with an intramural coach.

Shaq couldnt shoot worth a frick...... I am not comparing Shaq to Simmons. but saying someone is ineffective in half court sets because they cant shoot is stupid

The coaching this year makes intramural coaching look like fricking Phil Jackson.

Couldn't shoot. 56% FG%. Dude had a Lebron James'esque 29 PER.

LINK

Opponents were able to neutralize him very effectively in the half-court as the season moved on, simply backing five feet off him. Simmons would respond by getting very passive in turn, looking very conscious about firing up jumpers, even late in games when his team desperately needed him to be aggressive.

Sometimes I wonder if PFTcommenter in his spare time comes on TD to give hot taeks on Benson.

The greatest pg to ever live couldnt develop a good jumper until he was 28-29.
The greatest basketball player to ever walk the earth diznt develop a great 3 point shot until he was 32.

He could just practice with a coach next summer. Its his job.

Im sure he is. I responed to you saying he should've had a jump shot by the end of the year

You clearly know nothing about basketball. Magic Johnson had a crap shot too. Was he also ineffective in half court sets?
Lebron James didnt have good jumper when he cam into the league, was he ineffective in the half court?

You thinking someone is ineffective in the half court simply because they dont have a good jumper lets me know your basketball iq.

Its maddening and hilarious. Simmons has one of the best freshman seasons in ncaa history yet reading this board youd swear he was a bum

I actually made a mistake. Ben had a 29 PER. Higher than the fricking Wooden award winner. 6'10" TJ Pugh, indeed.

bullshite you found one guy that said he was easier to defend in the half court. At no time did any of them say he was ineffective in the half court.

Says the guy that thinks not having a jumper makes you ineffective in the half court.

There are numerous nba guards that dont have a great jumper yet are great in the half court. Sorry youre stupid.

but he made THIS shite arse team look like it had a pulse.

No, he didn't.

This team is missing three other starters from last year, and 4 of its top 7 contributing players BESIDES Simmons.

Simmons was a very good college player, but you're not speaking the truth.
