Show off your social skills by making an instant connection with anyone remotely resembling an LSU fan, fire up the ESPN app and put a big smile on your face.

How about grow a set of balls. Also what kind of bitch "party" doesn't have college football on, on Saturday's in the fall.

You have a vag.

ETA:

Lol at all you guys pretending like you're a bunch of hardasses in your relstionship. Every single one of you tucks your nuts up and listens to the lady when you don't have a choice. Quit all the bull shite lying.

My wife is not a football fan by any means, but she respects my passion for LSU football because I established that it was important to me at the beginning of our relationship. If it was between her or LSU I would never blink an eye at choosing her, but I wouldn't have married her if she was the type who was easily threatened by my interest (football, hunting and fishing). We have a strong mutual respect for each other and she wouldn't ask me to go to some dumbass party when LSU was playing UF. And if she did, she would know that I would be watching the game the whole time.

I don't get how guys get into a relationship and pretend to be someone that they're not.

(buffalo wild wings). i feel your pain. i ultimately "chose my needs over the family". the struggle is real. its a big game. either dont go or watchespn app.been a point of contention in my household for 14 yrs. i guess she'll eventually learn.

If there are a bunch of guys at this party and they are not watching the game, these are not the groups of people you want to be hanging out with in the future.
Cue up the Watch ESPN on your phone and don't worry about her reaction because she will (or should) be your ex by morning.

Its time you step up and wear the pants in the relationship. She may bitch and moan but she will get over it and there's always PornHub if things go south.

12 weekends each fall is our time of year, she can have the other 40.

The only reasons I have ever missed an LSU game are

A) Tailgating for my alma mater,
B) Didn't have access to a TV no matter how hard I tried to look, or
C) I was drunk and passed out during the game.

If you are not one of these three things, you should be watching the game.

I'm also assuming that the party will last longer than the game, so just leave early or get there late, or you could at least make sure her cousin has the LSU game on.

I don't go to any event, birthday party, wedding, etc. on Saturdays during LSU football season. Everyone knows not to plan it on those few Saturdays if they expect me to show up.

Anyone that plans an event on these Saturdays should and will have their friendship questioned.

Very simple. Go watch the game. So what if anyone thinks it's rude. If that is a problem, you are hanging around with the wrong people. Seriously.

I posted this earlier in the year as a guide for all the WIMPS that would need help. I guess you missed it. Here it is again.

quote:

This is how I am about LSU games:

"A man had 50 yard line tickets for a LSU game.

As he sat down, he noticed that the seat next to him was empty.

He asked the man on the other side of the empty seat whether anyone was sitting there.

"No," the man replied, "The seat is empty."

"This is incredible," said the first man.

"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the LSU game, the biggest sporting event in the state and not use it?"

The second man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This will be the first LSU game we haven't attended together since we got married in 1967."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"

The man shook his head. "No, they're all at the funeral.""

See? You have to set the precedent now so that all future appeals can be denied.

I can't think of a better way of dealing with your problems than sipping bourbon from a flask in Tiger stadium.

My nephew is having a family dinner to introduce his girlfriend to the family. My wife RSVP'd for only one without even talking to me.

I just nodded my head in approval when she told me.

Replace that with "wake" and an "okay" joke becomes much better. Funeral not legit for (most likely) night game. Even 2:30pm is stretching it.
