if God forbid something did happen to Nuss, teams wouldn't have game plan ready for what MVB can do.

I’ll never forget Matt Flynn coming off the bench to take down the Vols in the SEC Championship. They never adjusted to the QB runs from the pocket.

Was it? I always get those two mixed up. That gets me all the time, along with my tendency to think something happened five years ago when it was really twenty.

Wait until you hear that Nuss has -209 yards for his career rushing.

Where did you get this number? According to ESPN stats Nuss has -106 in his career with -46 being in 2021. This season with a bad OL he is at -10, but he was on the plus side every game except Tech where he was at -27. For whatever reason he was really off vs tech as was the entire OL.

I think Sloan needs a versatile, agile, and mentally sound QB in order to implement his offense.

2 things can be true. On one hand a mobile QB in College is the ultimate Cheat Code because if nothing is there in the play call then they can take off and make a big play out of a bad play.

But on the other hand go and watch the Clemson vs LSU game again. If you can get a defense to force a QB to scramble and limit his abilities by manipulating blitzes and stunts to flush him into a rush to win the play then you can neutralize them. This was our gameplan against Clemson and it won the game.

A great OC adapts to their personnel. An OC that needs a certain style of player to be successful will be looking for a new job every few years. Adapting is key. You don't realize how special Nuss is in the passing game.

Mississippi State season and last night has a total of 73 carries for 4 yards..

Sack yardage is included in that and he got sacked a lot at State behind a terrible OL

You literally haven't watched him at all if you don't think he's a mobile QB

Mobile does not equal electric. How does a supposed electric mobile QB get sacked enough to have 4 yards of total rushing on 73 attempts? I mean, that’s a lot of damn sack yardage…. Is he only mobile backwards? I don’t have anything against the guy as a QB. He looks competent and sure, he can run around, but the craziness of calling him electric and a big dual threat doesn’t match his body of work.
