you can't deny that if the Defense stays the way it is right now, that we can't potentially lose to all of the following:

@UF
@USC
UGA
BAMA
Ole Miss

Every one of those teams has the potential to beat LSU easily. If the D scheme stays the same, then we'll lose 4, maybe 5 of those games.

LSU is losing 5 games this year.

What's funny is that you actually believe that. That's what makes a fricking moron.

I agree with a lot of what you say.

Our defensive scheme is suspect at best. There seems to be less pressure on the QB, LB's are having to cover too long, DB's are not closing before the catch, and there are too many mental lapses.
All in all the defense doesn't seem as aggressive as in past years.

And for all you 4th grders out there, recognizing your team's weaknesses isn't giving up on them. It's facing reality.

Do you really expect us to blitz every down? MSU threw the ball wat 25-30 times? Aggressive defenses blitz maybe 30-40% of the time, so at that rate we would blitz something like 10 times a game on passing downs. Just think a little more logically next time, you wanna see a secondary exposed go ahead and blitz everytime they drop back and you will see just how average a GOOD secondary can get.

I'm not talking about frequency of blitzes. Although, it was clearly less than 30% the whole season so far.

I'm talking about the scheme that seems to love seeing #44 chasing people and see a LB get burned by coverage due to an ineffective blitz and an underperforming LSU DL.

I agree. There is no excuse for given up 24 points to freaking Miss St! Remember they lost to freaking La Tech and did not score a offensive point against Auburn.

well, Tenn put up 12 on Auburn but only put 3 on a FL team that had 31 put on it by Ole Miss, who lost to a Wake team that lost to Navy. Which is a Navy team who allowed 13 points from a lowly Towson team, and also got drubbed by Duke....

Moustache - I agree that there were issues on D. Just to make this a more balanced post, can you post a few positive things about the game? That way people won't think that you're a miserable a-hole ALL of the time. Or are you?

Gimme 3 positives... go.

ALRIGHT PEOPLE. To clear things up:

1. I don't think we'll lose 5 games this year. IF the d doesn't improve and stays with the same scheme it's VERY possible. If you don't believe that, then you haven't been paying attention.

2. Anyone who doesn't think the BAMA game is going to be a tough game to pull out has P&G sunglasses on. If you wanna call that scared Prominentwon, then go ahead dumbass.

3. I've already said we have a good team and the talent to have a top notch D in this thread. It's called the TIGER RANT for a reason morons. I"m ranting about a poor performance from the Defense last night and pretty much all year so far.

there's always something to criticize. That's understood because there's always room for improvement. I agree. But when you make comments like this....

Stafford and Tebow will f**king destroy our defense, 2. Smelley/Spurrier will scheme and destroy us., 3. Snead is a damn good QB and will destroy us. 4. I'm scared of Bama

That's giving up on your team. Regardless of the crawfishing i'm sure he's going to do. That's why he's getting blasted. It's well deserved.

Have you watched any of the aforementioned teams play this year. We can beat USC and Ole Miss with the defense we played last night. We beat Florida, UGA, and Bama if we play just a tad bit better on defense. You act like we gave up 500 yards of offense or something. You also act like we can't score anything on our offense. So if we give up 400 yards to Florida, but win 38-37, it doesn't count? The defense didn't play that badly last night. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Our defense will be better and be a lot more up for the bigger games. I'll bet you whatever you want that LSU DOES NOT lose more than 3 games this season. I agree that there are some homers on this board, but you being completely and utterly idioticly pessimistic is not helping.

1. Defensive talent is very abundant. Let's just hope the co-coordinators don't go all Lou Tepper on us.

2. Lee looked solid last night and has a wonderful release.

3. Chucky Scott is NFL caliber.

Way to leave the rest of the quote out as$hole!

After that comma, I said something along the lines of "if the scheme doesn't change"
