He is a massive cheater that his admin stood behind and supported until the rules changed to allow him freely and openly buy recruits. With that, he is an excellent coach.

For the 100 millionth time - at no point has doing what Will Wade did been deemed legal. He was literally paying players out of his checking account.

I commend him for that. You'll be hard pressed to find a bigger Wade guy than me. But I hate when people compare him to Pearl or Cal or Self. They all had systems set up (that LSU should have also had) to pay players through means NOT directly tied to the fricking head coach's bank account. It's shameful that Wade was forced to do it like he did it.

Also, the reason Auburn is doing better is their cheating coach didn't have his program taken away, stripped for parts, and given to a coach who wasn't allowed to cheat for at least a couple years. Once you've built a foundation of cheating and buying players (Cal, Coach K, Roy Williams, Self) you're unstoppable.

You used the wrong University in your example. Pearl is a proven major college winner.
Use the Florida Coach, Todd Golden. It appears, once again, Woody backed the wrong horse.

Is this a real question?

First three years for each coach:

Bruce Pearl: 44-54
Matt McMahon: 42-37 (third year still in progress)

First two years for each coach

Bruce Pearl: 26-40
Matt McMahon: 31-35

first and foremost, he was caught CHEATING. Secondly, I NEVER said anything about Will Wade.
But since you mentioned it, there are many examples where universities have stood up to the NCAA. That includes Roy Williams and the academic shite at NC and Bill Self at Kansas who was paying players. The fact that Petino and Calipari are even allowed inside of a basketball arena is how fraudulent the NCAA really is. This is about being “in the club” or not. Pretty damn simple.

LSU sucked up to the NCAA BECAUSE of Vadal Alexander and the OLOL infractions.

He’s been there something like 4 times as long. Not just a little longer.

Auburn Bruce Pearl $uceeded in much the same way that Will Wade $uceeded at LSU.

The difference is that LSU kowtowed to the NCAA and fired Wade.

Auburn told the NCAA to go frick themselves.

Here we are.

We have never had a great coach for us to even stand by since Dale brown

How long did it take Dale to build a winner?

How long did it take for Wade to build a winner.

Don't say one cheated and the other didn't . LOL

you forgot K and Duke, everyone.;....and I do mean everyone - including K himself, Dick, Forde, whoever... knew that Duke financed a $900K home for Zion's family.

They just pretended they either did not know or could not prove it.....which is REDICULOUS.....there was a paper trail and all knew the family could not afford that house.

To pretend there was no hypocrisy is laughable.
