I just have the feeling it's a close game until the middle of the second quarter

and then LSU takes over. not saying Ole miss won't get a play or score here or there, but LSU ends up dominating.

Lane has never had a problem scoring points. He just couldn’t stop the other team from scoring. Now he does.

I think our offense comes out humming to the tune of 14 unanswered. We'll take a few licks before half from the Ole Miss offense, but get to half with a comfortable, 2-3 score lead. Maybe some early licks again to start the 2nd half, but we pull away for good in the 2nd half, maybe early 4th quarter, as they wear down.
Even if I'm wrong, I just don't want to see a bunch of stupid LSU penalties and/or turnovers. If we just get outplayed, I can live with it - we will make adjustments after this game.

Baker has demonstrated he cannot stop a mobile QB. I don’t know why people think he’s all of a sudden going to start now.
If Leavitt can keep it to 2 INT’s or less, and that’s a big if, LSU pulls out a close one. If Leavitt plays like he did last week, which I’m afraid he might, Ole Miss wins this easily.

Baker has not had CLOSE to the personnel he now does.

I think because we have ends that can set the edge and linebackers that can play sideline to sideline. I will believe in this defense until proven other wise. I say we hold them to 10 pts. Anyone agree?

A mobile QB and a sputtering offense will kill a D. Lane’s offenses pressure all game. And what Baker has on D doesn’t run out of gas.
