So what your data shows is that O was not an upgrade from Miles.
True statement, but it does not mean a huge upgrade from Miles was desperately needed.

Support your numbers. 99% really?

Unfortunately, LSU has been recruiting players with the line of "Come to LSU, become a starter and we'll prepare you for the NFL".
Well its either that or "Come to LSU, play for the shrimp boat captain, make the Music City Bowl."

You stay for championships. They have no reason to stay.

You really wanted Miles to not go after 4 and 5* recruits because they might leave after 3 years? That's stratosphericly idiotic.
Nosir, never said I didn't want or expect him not to go after the best recruits, just saying that he used the idea of getting them in the League quicker as a recruiting tool. In order to win championships, you've got to have a couple of key players hang around for their senior year. Unfortunately, we haven't had that in a few years.

So how do you explain early outs from teams coached by Miles, Saban, Harbaugh, Meyers, Fisher, etc.
Well, this year, Damien Harris came back and was likely an early rounder.

hey catman88. I didn't know you were a math major. Let's say a large percentage. Fair enough? Or would you prefer to give me numbers that a large percentage of these guys don't come from poor upbringings. Get out of here with that nonsense.

The answer is simple, LSU is not a team that competes for national championships no reason to stay. Most good players that come here come for only one reason, just to get drafted. LSU lacks tradition, like the bama and ohio state programs.

speckhead have you fallen off the roof again?????
When you say LSU "lacks tradition" WTF do you actually mean by that????? Traditions like bama and ohio state and other programs..???? That has to be the most idiotic response I've seen today.

We aren't a championship caliber program anymore, no one is going to come back to win 9 games and a Citrus Bowl bid.

We'll be lucky to sniff the citrus bowl next year.
Im sure many of the players realize that O is destroying the program and why come back.

Poor kids who are projected to go high in NFL draft are going to leave regardless of how good a team is. It’s simple economics, get used to it. Poor and high projection equals 3 years and done.

lots of juniors left under Miles tenure. I still believe they never thought he could get them back to the promised land and decided to bolt....can't blame them.

Just throwing this out for consideration, but wouldn't knowing that a steady number of our players leave early AND get drafted in the NFL be a reason for current players to consider leaving early?
I don't like the fact that a seemingly high no. of our players "leave early", either, but the conclusion drawn by many in our fan base is: it has to be that they are fleeing a sinking ship; and, it's a sinking ship because of our pitiful coaches.
Turn it around and look at it the other way: our coaches so well prepare players for the NFL that they can confidently leave after their junior year based on LSU's reputation for creating good players.
For sure, those that hate Miles, Orgeron, as well as any assistant or position coach will refuse to accept this as a possibility. For sure, those same people will summarily categorize me as a "Sunshine pumper".
I'm not a "Sunshine pumper". I just don't believe that one's everyday life should be adversely affected by losses in pro, college, or high school ball games. Maybe war, death, cancer - that kind of stuff- but not ball games.
A lot of posters here seem to be on the verge of suicide. A lot cannot drop it. They have to be back on this site every day to carp about it, again. A lot will start reading this comment - get mad at me about it - and immediately post a rebuttal, without ever finish reading the comment. So what. I'm content. They are not and it's because of stupid sports that they aren't.

true of a lot not 100%
the measuring stick, as it were, IMHO is whether they feel it is LIKELY that the can be in the NC playoffs or not
will not persuade all, but if the answer is YES, it will persuade some.
