I just bet $200 for LSU to win straight-up

If they come through, I’ll win over $1000. The guy felt like he was taking advantage of me, but I told him it’s impossible to know how good a team really is this early in the season, and Miami winning is certainly not a given. He just laughed and accepted my $. I hope I’m right on this one

The dude you bet is either an idiot or he just doesn't plan on paying you if LSU wins but will gladly take your money if LSU loses. I think you got hosed unless you're willing to kick this dude's arse or shoot him in which case it is going to cost you a lot of money and legal fees and maybe jail time. Are you willing to take it that far over that amount of money? If you just kick his arse he is probably going to come back at you harder and esculate the situation.
