Even though his decisions aren’t usually binding

Don’t they still have to prove violations? We all know there probably was violations committed but don’t they have to get a paper trail and some evidence of these violations?
What do you think the transcript is? It is evidence. This is the NCAA. They are not bound by criminal rules. This really is not a difficult case. Suggesting that the transcript was anything other than paying a recruit fails to pass the laugh test.
There also may be other evidence LSU/NCAA has that has not been made public.

He didn’t meet with the administration yesterday because by telling them anything he would waive attorney client privilege.
It would also allow everyone in that room to be subpoenaed.
This only holds water if he believes he may be guilty of something involving the transfer of wealth to recruits. If you're clean you get out in front of it. You don't get in trouble for saying you're innocent and leaving it at that. That's not incriminating.
I think he was involved in something shady and I think it's prevalent in college sports. I also think Wade is making the right move as someone with dirty hands, which is take the lumps now and let the whole thing hopefully blow over.
The most ridiculous thing about this whole situation is that it shouldn't be illegal for full grown adults to make money off their likeness. It's basically collusion between the NBA/NFL and the NCAA. Hopefully that changes by letting kids go pro whenever they want and/or other viable alternatives emerge.

Is what Wade allegedly did illegal or merely an NCAA rules violation? If just a violation, what the heck is the FBI involved for? Also, Smart is a Freshman in college, should his name be dragged down before facts are known?

Ok dumb arse, please tell me how someone can be found guilty when they have not been charged with anything.

This stupid shite needs to end. Nothing is stopping Alleva from being subpoenaed now. Do you think anyone is going to subpoena compliance personnel? Or do you think only the perpetrators of this violations are aware in general? Alleva would not have been and will not be subpoenaed. Jesus

And if after the dust settles and it's proven that he was an overreacting bitch, Will Wade says deuces...... Alleva needs to be kidnapped and shipped to Bangladesh
Agree to Agree, location subject to change, but must require continental divide for his safety of course

If alleva gets fired it will be because he is the person who hired wade. Ironic isn’t it?
Do you really understand how ignorant and preposterous that statement is? I suppose not or you wouldn't have made it in the first place. Dumbass bullshite. Alleva needs to be fired because he's a stupid moron that has no idea WTF he is doing. Wade isn't under investigation, the tapes have no revealed any rules he broke of the NCAA. In both cases he made offers but in one he backed out and the other it was refused, and that is all we know. We don't know what was offered, we don't know exactly to whom the offers were made and the only recruit's name involved beyond a doubt is the Balsa kid that committed to Fla. St. Nobody knows if he was referring to Javonta Smart. Nobody has asked if there was another recruit by the last name of Smart he was recruiting. It isn't said if the Smart thing is even referring to a recruit. The FBI hasn't opened an investigation into Will Wade or LSU and neither has the NCAA. LSU and Alleva have panicked and given in to media BS and pressure because NOBODY that are not fans of LSU want LSU in the NCAA or the SEC tournament. Alleva and the LSU board that have suspended Wade are puppets for the likes of Thamel and Wolken and Steven A Smith and Dick Vitale, and that's cowardly. That's why he will get fired!!!

Funny thing about this situation is that next year this will all be "moot". The NBA will change the rule and allow 18 year old's to sign. Any player with any near term potential will enter the draft or end up in the G League. CBB will be comprised of players with no current market value leaving these street agents no one to sell.

It doesn’t take an attorney to tell you that someone who is not accused of a crime won’t be convicted of one.

The defense attorney was brilliant and just turned the focus to the coaches vs the embezzlers and blackmailers.
I actually doubt Smart ever knew any of this happened.
