yep you right about that but that was what a 2 years ago. I say play both QB's and then we will see who is the best on the field right now not last year or the year before .!! i dont care who the starter is i just what our QB to move the ball with consistency .

Mack is generaly respected by Texas fans a a good coach, but if you don't think they question him.....
Didn't they almost run him out of town in '01 or '02?

Damn man it isn't super secret. JL turns the fricking ball over JJ doesn't
Have you watched this season? A INT in each game and a couple of fumbles.
I don't think Les is concerned one bit about his image or job security. He is a man of principle and will do it his way. If his way doesn't work, then he will move on to somewhere where his way does work.

I am sure that if he continues on his current path, he will be undefeated at years end.

But I've had about all I can stand of his bull-headed nature
How long have you known him to know his nature?
What is bull headed, that he doesn't listen to the rant? Thank whatever God you serve for that!
quote:
And I don't understand why he isn't pulling out all the stops in an effort to save his job.
1. He knows he's not going to lose his job
or
2. He's not going to make what he thinks are bad decisions just to save it
or
3. He is but there aren't any 'stops' left at the QB position
quote:
Either he is in denial or he knows something that we don't.
There is a LOT he knows that we don't have a clue about but I'm sure it's that way with him and our jobs too.

Because I am sure that if he continues on his current path, he will be unemployed at years end...if he makes it that far.
Because 2-0 is a sure indicator that we'll never win a game....?

But Les seems to be bent on sticking with JJ...to a fault
You think JLee doesn't have faults?
You are positive he'll be better? Really?
(to be fair, I think he should get some early play time v MooU but he scares the crap out of me)

He seems to do things out of pure spite(sp?).
You don't really believe that, do you?
quote:
He runs the damn option just because he likes it
Actually, he explained pretty coherently WHY he runs it and it makes sense plus the statistics show that it actually does work but hey let's go with the rant's take on it...?
quote:
Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe this is why Les Miles is the coach and I'm not
It could be because he has been playing and coaching football his whole life, played at the highest level, learned and coached under legendary coaches, became a succesful coach in the NFL and at the highest college levels and proved himself long before the rant knew his name...?

but were I in his position, I would start Cinderella
No offense but thank goodness you are not in that position.

I'm tired of stressing about whether my coach has the best interest of LSU at heart,
If you don't know that already then there is no hope/help for you.

I have been an avid supporter of Les Miles
Keep the faith!

Les Miles is the coach and I'm not, but were I in his position, I would start Cinderella if I thought it gave me a better chance to keep my job.
You think Miles does not know this?
He knows he could fire Crowton, start Lee, rotate QBs like a carousel, pump the ball to Ford, Shep, and forget Ridley (he was just a marginal recruit anyway) give up on Murph(knees and all). And Tiger Nation would adore him and he would keep his job. Even the blind can see this situation.
However, as silly as it sounds, I think he may be more concerned with winning games for LSU than keeping his job. Hell, he has the courage of his convictions...and that is that the mistakes that JJ makes can be won in SPITE of whereas the mistakes JL make can make winning almost impossible.
I for one would love to see JL play, but only time will tell.

I dont think this has ever been a question.

Totally agree, why doesnt he pull the QB after one bad game. Man, I just don't understand what he and the other coaches are thinking!
Posted on 9/14/10 at 8:46 am to inebr8ted tiger
Maybe Les Miles sees that JJ is the best QB LSU has.
Let's ponder this for a minute......

Based on last weeks's stats, I think it shows the option does not work. Not to mention, the last 2 weeks were against a depleted UNC defense & a less than intimidating Vandy defense. Sorry, but JJ running the option should be taken out of the playbook.

Miles was fine with Saban's QBs and OLINE. Now no QB recruited in 6 years and an OLINE that has one good player Barksdale plus 4 projects playing their positions for the first time.

Miles is 2-0 at this point as he SHOULD be. He will NOT remain undefeated if he does not CHANGE. Everyone is frustrated because it is OBVIOUS the present style of offensive play is NOT working and WILL NOT WORK against our future opponents. The time to CHANGE is NOW, before we face Florida, Alabama and others. We have the talent to compete and win. With the current coaching, play calling, JJ as QB only........we will STRUGGLE to beat Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas. Miles is STUBBORN & HARD-HEADED to the EXTREME!
