We had a greater variety of plays and were able to throw for 200 yards even without a WR catch. That’s pretty good considering TE and RB were rarely used at LSU.

No we didn't. All of Darrel's catches were caught behind the line of scrimmage. Moreau caught a 60 yard td on a busted coverage. Lets not act like Canada schemed up some unreal pass plays that totally fooled the 114th ranked defense in the country. A swing pass to the rb is not "creative" it's what you do when you have to hide the ineffectiveness of your quarterback. 152 of the 200 passing yards came on either a pass in the flat to Darrell or a busted coverage to the tight end.

You mean like the play where 2 TE were wide open on a short yardage play action?

Or all the plays where a RB had 30 yards to run free after the catch?

That’s how scheming works.

Creative enough to fool everyone including the camera man.

We were not "able to throw for 200 yards" because of scheme. We were able to do so because Ole Miss failed to cover a tight end at all and not defending a simple swing pass in the flat to a running back. Ole Miss has a terrible defense. They are literally ranked 114th in the country. None of this will work against Bama. None.

Exactly! That's why at some point during this game we will see a quarterback that can stretch the field. Just because a quarterback is a 195lb pocket passer does not mean he will get broken in half . A smart pocket passing quarterback will get rid of the ball before the rush ever gets to him. And as far as the blindside, number #77 will have his brother's back!! Stretch the field to #7, #83 and #84, keep Bama guessing, give the ball to #5 and #28 and let the Tigers Geaux!!!

So we should ditch play action and any kind of underneath passes. good to know.

What exactly does work? You should share

Forreal tho. That shuttle play we ran against Ole Miss can be deadly too

I would put money on us running this play again, and Alabama either intercepting it, or decapitating the TE the second he touches it.

Well we haven't thrown to WRs in a couple games. Maybe he's saving them for Bama.

Geez man. This happens on the rant so much and it's incredible. Read this slowly. You make up something I never said then respond to it like it's a fact that I said it. You then demand I explain how something you completely fabricated should work.

If I'm wrong, please link my post where I said "we should ditch play action and any kind of underneath passes."

So you want to play a guy with twice Etling's interceptions on 16 total passes? Play him over the #3 rated quarterback in the conference? Smart...

How did the #3 ranked qb in one passing category that's misleading due to pass attempts and short throws do against Bama last season?

You said plays like the TE play (play action) and the swing passes (annunderneath pass to a RB) wouldn’t work.

So what does? You have a lot of opinions about successful plays.

Canada has already shown enough that Alabama will have to be prepared to guard against more than a toss dive or deep pass. It will be a matter of executing what they have been running.

You mean the tight end play where Ole Miss had a busted coverage and failed to guard anyone? That play? Should we rely on Bama literally not covering anyone in the game plan? And how does a busted coverage equate to me "saying" not to use play action? I love how you included play action in parenthesis even though once again it's something I NEVER SAID. For the second time please link where I said another thing that you just made up that I posted. Please. One link.

I did say swing passes to Darrel Williams won't work against Alabama. Because they won't. I'm also saying running the ball vs Alabama won't work. Because it won't.

I agree but the offense has been opening up.

We ran way more plays with Guice and williams

Way more passes to TE and RB.

I think O and Canada intentionally held the offense back during the OM game to not show everything. They have stuff special for bama
