Yesterday’s game was too big for him.

But no one should apologize for him. Even if Ensminger has called a better game, I don’t it would have changed Brennan’s performance. He lacks the “it” factor.

Consider that Kyle Trask hadn’t played a meaningful down even in high school yet he rallied UF last year vs Kentucky then proceeded to only lose two games. First year starters perform well all the time There are numerous examples.

Orgeron has to ride with him and see if he can turn it around but it seems the odds are long.

His pocket awareness and mobility are very poor. The only remedy for that is to get the ball out quick. He was so indecisive, timid, and slow with everything he did from getting ready to throw to actually delivering a pass. I hope he improves but yesterday was more about the defense.

O doesn’t “need to ride with him”.

If Miles doesn’t improve after 4-5 games and the season is a loss anyway might as well put in the freshman you think will be the next LSU QB and get him some experience next year.

Some kids have it naturally, Myles does not. There’s plenty of freshmen who come in and even though they make bad mistakes, they don’t look scared the whole time. Myles looks scared and uncomfortable. He even looked that way in mop up duty last year when there was little to no pressure on him.

I think he’s a great kid and certainly paid his dues, I just don’t know if he has what it takes to keep us on the elite level.

LSU desperately needs to establish the run because Myles just doesn’t have it in this scheme based on yesterday’s performance.

It made no sense how little we tried to run the ball.

How many years has he been on the team? How many years has he started?
There's a reason for this....

We should lean more on the run game moving forward. Those three backs give us the best chance for success right now. Cut out the zone read stuff since Brennan can't run. He's better off of play action throwing deep and intermediate. He doesn't get the ball out quick enough to run a quick passing game.

Sadly he does not have "IT" and QB's like him never will. He has no vision and pocket awareness. Brennan is not a football player with instincts, he can throw a pretty pass and things pretty much end there.

I feel badly for the LSU fans

Honestly looked like Jarret lee all over again, and his mobility and pocket awareness was awful

Can someone tell bo you don't have to blitz every fricking down

Game is way too fast for him. He may have benefited from some of the cupcake games we would have played in a normal year, but I’m not sure. He panics and makes poor decisions, and I think that’s more of a trait than a result of circumstances. I don’t want to rip the kid- I hope I’m wrong and he’s able to rebound. I hope he understands he doesn’t have to be Burrow..

Playing against Moo U in a stadium with 25% attendance capacity was too big for him?

27/46 58% 345yds 3 tds 2 int

Brennan played fine and did more than enough to win

36/60 623 yds 5 TD 2 int for Costello

The defense was absolutely trash. None of this loss falls on Brennan’s head when we literally just had the worse defensive backfield performance in SEC history.

A new head coach with a transfer qb and a weird offseason just put the myth of DBU to bed.

I don’t feel bad for him. You how many years to prep for this moment and one being a natty season learning from a Heisman QB. Myles didn’t like look like an upperclassman

If yesterday’s game at home against Mississippi State and being in the program for 3 years was too big for him then I hate to see what’s gonna happen when we play real teams!

I do not feel badly for a player who has been at LSU for over 3 years and pisses away his opportunity. Brennan has proven to be a waste of time and LSU can’t stay with Brennan indefinitely. If this is all he is then we need to prepare another QB for the future and go with Johnson or Finley. That was a pathetic performance by Brennan.
