Woodward has a long list of good hires including Chris Peterson at Washington. He's light years better than Alleva.

Have you not seen WBB when LSU has been successful in the past? Maybe they never pulled into the black, but I bet their loses were much much smaller.
Look at gymnastics as another example. If LSU is winning, then it has been proven that fans will show up.
Look at the number of seasons tickets sold for WBB just from making the hire.

You're probably right. He may not make any hire at all. The Jimbo hire was the best candidate that cycle. A coach wins a natty and soon after they get a pay raise. Stop acting like this never fn happens and that it was just Woody by himself that was so emotional over the season's result that he just decided to pay O all this new money and give him an extension. Don't be so fn dense!
Baylor WB program was break even financially. At they had excellent graduation mark. That is why she keeps bumping the home attendance and season tickets.
Jay Johnson is already proving that he was the best man and fit for the head job.

He's going to play it safe by overpaying for a proven coach. In other words, it's highly likely that it will be a "good" hire. It may not be a great hire.
I think we are a year late on this hire, unfortunately. The rebuilding job is a lot bigger now. A hire like the one Woody is going to make would have made sense following Miles. Now? He better make sure this guy can be successful building a program.

Woodward will call every coach in the top 10 to gauge interest. No name is off the table including the almighty Saban (who we all know isn’t happening) No way he just “settles” IMO. He knows this will be his most important hire as AD and I’m guessing he’s secured the money.

I trust Woodward, it is the rest of the higher ups above him that could fowl this up. We wanted Woodward and we got him. Now it is just time to let the process play out.
