I don’t think we’ll have any real news about the new LSU coach until January.

That’s when the CFP happens and then wraps up. Several of our candidates will be part of CFP team staffs either as head coach or assistant coaches.
I think everything will be speculation until 3 months from now in January, unfortunately.

If we know nothing until then it becomes pretty apparent Kiffin is the main target. If it’s going to be someone like Sumrall we will know before then.

LSU won't wait unless they think there is mutual interest. Thats a dangerous game as well too; if you wait and it doesnt work out you miss the early signing period and are left scrambling.

You have to remember too...Sexton will do everything he can for his client and will drive up the price for Lane, whether it's to stay at Ole Miss or not. He will put LSU against Penn State, UF, Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc. shite will get leaked, his name will be mentioned as a "top target". He's done it time and and time again.

No you won't. You'll hear speculation but whether it's Woodward or a search committee, it will be kept very quiet until late in the game.
