re: I don't think I've ever been so excited about a season before

True...I say this every year, but I was honestly having trouble finding ANY loses on our schedule this year. This was preseason and based on what we appeared to be on paper, of course.
I used to love Les because of the person I thought he was, not just any marginal successes he had on the field. At this point, he's making me dislike him, and that's really too bad. I don't expect him to opt out of millions to keep our spirits up, but I do or did expect him to earn his paycheck and give us something to be proud of. For God's sake, our state is flooded, again...thousands have lost their homes, again.
None of this is even taking into consideration what he's doing to the college playing days and very likely even the NFL prospective futures of the kids he's recruited and promised many things to. Les has lied...he's still lying. And I've been following nearly every player on our roster since they were sophomores and juniors in high school. Watching them pick my Tigers at the end of their recruitment makes me as proud as anything can. I'm pulling for them as hard as I am anything else.
Les is not JUST inept...he's lazy and careless. He's not giving it his all at this point. His IQ would have to be below 100 to not see what EVERYONE else sees in our offense, and I can't be convinced that he's truly that unintelligent. I feel like he's stealing from us, and that's pathetic when his what's now former reputation hinged on him being a great man.

I'm with you. We are traveling from NC for the OM game in Oct. Son is a SOPH at NCSU, I want to take him to a real FB game!
Hope the team pulls it together. Not where you start, but where you finish.
Looking forward to a shrimp po-boy with family in NOLA, and a game at Tiger Stadium!

quote:Exactly! I had both my kids at last year's opener, and of course we were disappointed that it was cancelled, but we still enjoyed the time together. My daughter will be at La Tech game this Saturday (freshman) and I'm afraid I won't get to spend many more trips to see the Tigers with her.
learn to enjoy the time with your family.
The season has already started with a huge letdown, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to enjoy it. Been waiting all year for it to come around, so let's

Yep, we travel quite a distance to make it to a minimum of 4 games per year. After Green Bay, we're taking our approximate $2000 per game and rescheduling beach vacations.
Ah, one of the DIE HARD LSU fans that only goes to games if the team is winning. Congratulations on your everlasting fandom.
