Rules are rules.

He was a big-time player at a big-time program.

He knew the rules. He was warned numerous times, just like everyone else on scholarship.

If you break the rules, you suffer the consequences.

I hate it just as much as anyone. He is an awesome player...

But rules are rules.

Life has rules and if a person cant follow them then they pay the price. TM7 will pay the price. I hope he learns from this and can get it together, if not his future isnt going to be near as specail as it could have been.

I was just ranting,Don't know for sure what really transpired.
But just think they should have rules that are relevant for the times, thats all.

But again as someone else pointed out Rules are Rules and there are consequences for breaking them.
And nobody's exempt from it.
It just sucks that he won't be donning the uniform and it definitely feels like a big blow for the team.

Youre right. He broke the law and team rules because the system is flawed, not because he's a self centered little a-hole.

Gfy

I'm a proponent of marijuana legalization and usage in general and strongly disagree. He knew the rules and chose to break them. Apparently repeatedly.

you need to hit your bong one more time! he knew the rules, he made a choice to break them. Like Miles or not, he does run a clean program and has kept us off of the NCAA radar for the most part. i think the part of our game that will suffer will be the punt return game.

He signed up for this when he came here
He knew the rules
He had 3 chances
He used them all

Drugs and football don't match... play by the rules and you've got no problem.

No one is bigger than the LSU football program... signed RP.

Oh, c'mon. Mathieu likely failed multiple tests in the last few months, which likely explains why he has not been available to the media and wasn't ripping LSU at the SEC Media Days.

Sad that it happened, but rules are rules and Les has to let the team know that they will be applied fairly.

I think its fair. Maybe he won't be as stupid as Ricky Williams. Remember him? High times put him on the cover. Now maybe they can put the honey badger on the cover. Sweet.

I agree that weed isn't a big deal and not as bad as alcohol is for you. However, rules are fricking rules and you have to be a dumb arse to break em.

You're right, I was wrong. TM7 has/had great self restraint and always thought of others before lighting up. He really should be celebrated as the consumate student and model LSU football player. I won't post any more stupid stuff. Thanks.
