I believe in-state politics has something to do with it.

What has Kiffen ever won? Nothing.

And he will likely command $15M a year and 10 year contract.
Does LSU really wanna sign up for that?

No one gets better press and cred that Kiffen for doing nothing.

Jay Johnson?
Andy Reed?
Donald Trump?
Skip Bertman?

Those are about the only names that would surprise me.

I don’t understand people talking about spending money on Kiffin like it’s there own money their spending. Asinine.

Go get the best coach available. Kiffin will win a title at least here depending on how long he will be here for. Mcveigh is interesting I would gladly take him as well. I would take Saban back because I know who he is. He might be old but he could possibly get us another title before he retired for good.
All these coaches are gonna cost money to hire if you want something as close to guaranteed as possible. They just bought out BK for 53 million possibly (we will see if it gets negotiated down)

The program needs a knock down guaranteed grand slam after BK.

Kiffin has gotten so much better these last couple of years, watching him he is improving his game every year. This is a home run and fans would get to watch an entertaining offense for once since Daniel’s and 2019. We deserve this. We’ve been through coaching hell

Earlier today i was thinking of stealing Josh Heupel, but didn't post it. It is hilarious that other people thought that as a possibility too.

Tennesse is routinely at the top of the SEC in rushing yards and outside of this year, has had a top 5 SEC defense. The passing game is self explanatory. Also, we might get the #1 WR again and their 5 star QB if he comes here.

Golding is from hammond. Direct ties to the state for recruiting.

Marcus Freeman can be ruled out...its already reported he turned down the Penn ST and Florida job and did so immediately saying coaches are learning from mistakes like Brian Kelly leaving a great situation thinking the grass is greener on the other side.
its one thing to leave a small school for a big gig but a lateral move is pointless.

Hasn't LSU brought 2 or 3 over from Ole Miss in the last year or two to its football operations?

Yeah, to the degree some have wondered if internally they thought there was a chance Lane would be here eventually

Only 1 of these schools hasn’t won a title this century.

I’ll let you tell the class the answer
