If this is true then Woodward should be gone as soon as possible. It does make you wonder how much shite he was hiding for kelly.

Woodward does not deserve to hire the next football coach, strictly job performance speaking

In this age of money rules all, I don’t think we can find a better fundraising AD. And it’s deeply problematic that this directive is coming from Jeff Landry.

Woodward brought a women’s basketball coach who had already won. National titles to LSU where she won one with the purple and gold in her second season.
He brought in a baseball coach who won a national championship in his second season and won another this past year.
The Kelly hire didn’t work out but he was a proven coach and many people were suprised that LSU was able to get him. It wasn’t like proven coaches were kicking down the door to get the job.

It’s not entirely surprising that the person doing the hiring could cover for their hire but believe me, Kelly and Woodward are not “close”. They aren’t friends. They aren’t even acquanitences. Woodward likely despises Kelly.
