I think the knee down and finger possession are on equal ground as astoundingly bad calls.

Both calls affected the LSU season in a big way.

Clearly an interception that you saw!
Clearly $$$ that they saw!

Football is not a level playing field sport. Hasn't been for a long time. As soon as big money gets involved corruption is the name of the game.

In 2009, LSU lost to Alabama by 9. The PP call—a Correct call, as inconvenient as that fact may be—wasn’t worth 9 points. That call gave Bama a 3rd down and 7 situation.

LSU would have played in the Fiesta Bowl vs UCF regardless of the result of the Texas A&M game.

That either call affected either season is a stretch.

I understand that it’s fun to pretend that there’s a conspiracy afoot, but the play was called correctly. The ball was dead before PP attained possession of it.

What? He caught the ball with both feet in bounds. Why would the ball be dead?

Because before PP attained possession of the ball, the Alabama receiver, who was out of bounds, touched the ball. Watch the video. This is obviously what the two officials are discussing during the time between the whistle and the incomplete signal.

If the receiver touched anything, it was Peterson's hand. I'm not even sure if he got that though. Peterson reached in front of him before he knew what was going on. That's an interception.

Regardless of anything else you say, that right there is why the call stands.
