Calling that running play with so little time left on third down was a terrible idea.

Nah I liked the run just not the exact same run with Perine that got stuffed on the first drive. Mixon would have gotten that yard then you can call TO and regroup. Would’ve run on 4th too.

If I remember correctly, he could've dove for the ball and caught it for the 1st down. I blew up when I saw that!!!

Would have been awesome because a.) Bengals win and, b.) I get the last leg of my parlay and win a shitload of cash.

Joe is already moving in that direction and would have easily seen him break free. TD = SB rings. Butt……..phuck!

Unfortunately, I'm going to point out some "insult" to go along with our communal "injury". Sorry, can't link it.
Look at the very beginning play. The pick on the outside left worked and the guy he was going to originally came open for the first down.
Ooof.

Glad for Whit though.

EDIT: The primary receiver he wanted to go to was not the guy who was open.

Another angle showed the ball wasn't even close to him. I thought he gave up as well, but the angle I saw showed it was uncatchable.
On what broadcast? Share that please. Wait...
Oh, frick. Just trying to scratch that "attention whore" itch...
What a pussy.

Did the defender fall down or did Chase grab his face mask and toss him aside like the other easy touchdown on first play of second half.
Take your sissy little ball of hate back to the SEC board where it plays, Troll khunt.

Meh.

When Cincinnati got the ball back I said, "This is time for Burrow and Chase to work the sideline with some quick passes. Burrow isn't getting enough time for deep plays." Then that first pass to Chase for 15 yards made me look like a genius. Then the last 2 plays made Taylor look like an idiot. He had too far to go for a field goal, and too little time to get there, to worry about the 1st down sticks. 3rd and 1 didn't matter, mid-field with 0:45 did. I even thought the pass to Boyd was dumb as it kept the clock running.

Seven fricking sacks.

Thanks... yeah he didn't even try for it. Definitely looks like he could've caught it.

In his postgame interview Aaron Donald even said he thought Joe completed the pass and then looked up and saw that he hadn't and knew they won. Pretty crazy that even AD thought Joe had pulled some magic on that one.

frick, just saw the play in all-22 and if Joe would have decided to go to Chase on pre-snap he would have got it off in time. They were probably thinking like everyone else, why run a go route with your best WR on 4th and 1.

3 lineman in the backfield just watching their qb get demolished. Terrible play calling on 2nd,3rd,4th down lost it.
its truly amazing, the Bengals arent even that good, Joe and JaMarr almost dragged the most average Superbowl team I can remember to a title, two years after having the worst record in football.

While hitting Chase would have been epic i don’t know why he didn’t pull the trigger to the left flat immediately. Looks like they had an easy first and he double clutched.

Not from the opposite hash, that would have been a pick. He was thinking slant the entire time in that man look, the guy headed to the flat would have created a rub but they had banjo coverage and that made him hesitate.

With perfect coverage, but the guy took a false step inside and a frozen rope to the sideline is a catch. If he lets it go when he instead tucks I don’t see how the defender gets there.

I know it’s frustrating to think if either Spain doesn’t have a stroke or Joe spins away like he’s done so many times he chucks it to Chase who probably could have stood at the goal line for 10 seconds

ETA These are all split-second differences among elite athletes. Not giving your all-pro running back a touch with 3 straight plays for a yard is what’s inexcusable.
