This isn't the first thing that came to mind. First thing that comes to mind is we'll need to open the passing game up more to make Ford more effective.

I understand that.

But I think the difference is JL has led our offense to levels we haven't seen in a long time, and let's face it, JJ led us to an abortion of an offense. I am simply debating and defending a very high performing offense/ compared to a very poor performing offense. IT is that simple.

If the roles were reversed, and JJ was the one performing highly, and JL was the one who had underperformed for two years.....I'd be saying the same thing in defense of JJ.

I'm not sure you know what quarterback rating is.

Jefferson will likely get 40% of the snaps last week, pretty much like what happened last week. He's the backup quarterback, they are supposed to get more snaps late, in blowout, games. (Right, he "started" the second half in a ten point game.)

Also, you seem to go from being concerned with the number of snaps to the number of minutes... Obviously when you are playing ball control offense, running the ball in the second half, the QB will get less snaps with more minutes.

Step back from the edge, people. Or leap off, that will make us happier.

I don't have to explain the bottom line between the offense ran by JL, and the offense ran by JJ. Most successful executives do the same thing....if they want to remain successful.

Isn't the botom line WINS?
So what does it matter of the offense lights the board up or not if the bottom line is achieved?
What you are saying is that you are placing your "want" first. We won't go into exactly what your "want" is right now.

If anything, I see us passing a little bit more. JL is the better passer.

See where I'm going?

Why do you think people have to be friends with JJ if they don't hate him? Guess what, I like some people and I don't like others. That says absolutely nothing about everyone in between.

because you cannot objectively compare their performances and believe that JJ should be starting, or playing a lot....if you have any intelligence at all. The difference in performance is not just a minor improvement. It is a HUGE difference.

you got it...exactly. LSU is extremely talented, probably most talented in the country the last few years. They are going to win a lot of games no matter who is QB. They won a lot of games despite JJ being ranked 107th efficiency, and a very poor scoring offense, and high level of 3 and outs, which wears out the defense.

The difference is being able to win 9 or 10 games or 12 games. Most teams lsu can beat with talent alone. A few teams, lsu cannot beat without a good offense....thus 4 losses in 2009 and 2 losses last year.

You could say the same thing about crowton too right? I mean he won a lot of games. Remember last year virtually every single game was a single digit nail biter? How much have you seen that this year with JL leading the way. Our D is better, but not that much better. they just got worn down last year by constant inept offense.

Your wrong again. The bottom line is if you are supposed to win by 30 then win by 30. That is the difference this year compared to years past that you do not get.

NOT BARELY WINNING EVERY GAME AND HAVING A HEART ATTACK AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BLOWING TEAMS OUT

I am done in here because you will never "get it".

Could you please direct me to the nail-biter(s) we had this year?

Fact is, you and Canton are chicken little's who apparently expect (possibly want) everything to come crashing down. It's not our fault you can't enjoy the season, especially when you have absolutely no control over anything to do with it.

The absence of him is a WAY bigger component in the offense's success so far this season than you'd probably likely admit. Just looking to pin it on Jefferson.

After 2008, many on this board didn't want to see Lee set foot on the field again. Now, he's the best thing ever.

People seem to forget that Jefferson had a decent year in 2009. Granted he had some struggles with taking sacks, but I'm willing to bet that was a product of the previous season.

for all of you who are estatic with our offense with JL leading the way......bad news. With ware out, I can see miles playing JJ an extremely large amount of the time, saying "we needed a spark in the running game without ware". Hope I'm wrong, but wouldn't bet on it.

That Miles is an evil genius not only is the OP correct but no doubt Miles spiked the drug tests of TM7 and Simon in addition to Ware to throw us all off the track of his real goal of benching JL in favor of JJ.
