If they beat FSU, they’d be about 8-1 right now and the result of that game is pretty immaterial going forward to their title hopes so it seems like good value.

In theory, sure. But the odds just seem awfuly far in favor of me getting more out of lighting it on fire. If you can afford to essentially do just that on the (not insignificant) chance that you lose that bet, its not my place to judge. My brain just isnt wired to be a gambler.

The latest odds give the Tigers about a 2.5% chance of winning the NCG. The current favorites appear to be Ohio St and Oklahoma

I had 10 bucks at 25-1 and another 10 at 22-1 on LSU in 19 at Horseshoe Tunica, wasn’t a lot of money but there was a triumphant satisfaction cashing those two tickets.

what you’re saying is LSUs odds would have to be 400:1 before you would even consider betting on them to win the championship. That’s completely asinine

I bet them at +5000 back in January but took a cash out offer for more than 3x my bet in August.
