I doubt it man. Everyone should speak with their wallet, but time heals all wounds. Inevitably the inertia of hanging out with your friends and family out there on a Saturday will take over

If 20% of ticket holders dump them, maybe that will make an impression?

Nah, too many really stupid fools with money.

I said it earlier in the week, Dinardo had the same record and we paid him $90K per year.

Let that sink in…we’re paying 100 times what we did to Dinardo.
It was really like $250K per year, after accounting for media payments and such, which are also included in the $9M number you are implicitly citing for Kelly.

We also paid a boatload to buy him out of Vandy, plus legal fees from years of litigation over it.

In the long run, across the country, 50% of games are wins and 50% are losses. That's true whether the coaches are making an average of $100 grand each or an average of $2 million each. And it's true whether the players are playing for a scholarship or for a million dollar nil deal.

Right now the ADs are assuming there's this inexhaustible supply of money from fans who will pay anything to win. People are going to figure out that paying lots and lots and lots of money isn't going to change that inexorable 50%, because the other guys are paying their coaches and players lots and lots of money too

If they haven't figured it out yet, they're not gonna figure it out now.

No matter what happens with Kelly--whether he gets fired tomorrow or wins 10 national championships--the next coach will cost more.

Got rid of mine when they retained Les after the a&m game. Section was 100 on the isle. Only had like 12-14 seats on the row. Best thing I ever did. Of course I live over 3 hrs away and my kids were starting to go to other colleges so it just wasn’t worth spending close to $6000 for 4 tickets when I would only go to 1 or 2 games a year moving forward. Decided to take that money and spend it on traveling. Figured I was spending close to 15k a year going to 6-7 games when you include 2 hotels rooms for 2 nights each game plus food, alcohol and what not. I can take one awesome vacation or several nice ones and not have to be pissed off over 18-22 year olds.

As someone who was in TGBFTL during Curley’s last two seasons and couldn’t get up and leave no matter what, frick you and your soft bitch arse.

It’s your money and all to do with as you please, but if you want to come on here and virtue signal your fandom with a dramatic announcement that you’re out, frick you. You deserve to be drug for bring a drama queen.

Be soft, stay your arse at home and let a real fan who supports LSU no matter what have your seats.

Thinking about it. We’ve had them since 1997.

But then I remember 2003 and 2007 and 2011 and 2019.

But in between has been rough.

Idiots here don’t seem to grasp that. Half of the SEC coaches are making over $90 mil/yr and most of the rest are above $70 and Elko is likely about to get a raise to this level. What Kelly makes is what anyone of substance will be paid to coach here. Maybe less buyout, but that depends on how much success they’ve had before the hire.
