I am actually very optimistic about next year. Call it bias, but it looks good to me

Nuss is returning. AA will be back. Chris Hilton who had been injured entire career, showed last 2 games when healthy what he can do. 200 yards and should be 4 TDs last 2 games. Nic Anderson as a true freshman had 800 yards and is coming here. Barion Brown who has had multiple kickofff and punt returns taken to TD will be here. 5 star Trey Dez Green will be a monster at TE. He showed when Taylor was out that he could put up 60 yards and 2 TDs. Huge Red Zone threat. Durham will be healthy. 5 star RB coming in. Have a 5 star IOLman coming in. High 4 star OL Curne.
For Defense, we will get a much needed overhaul at CB and Safety. 5 star CB coming in. Highly regarded VT CB transfer. 2 other CBs that are top 150 recruits. Weeks will be back. Really high 4 star borderline 5 star LB. Really great DE coming from FSU, another one from UF. We will have to start Freshman on both sides of OL and DBs.
I actually feel decently good. Only concern I have is Tackles on both the Oline and Dline. Other than that, I think at least one of our CBs will have to move to Safety. Seems we have not many great players as Safeties right now, so position changes may come from CB. I am optimistic.
If I had to guess, I'd say 10-2. Maybe that's too high, but in my opinion it comes down to 2 things: Nuss returning with immense talent at WR, and new DBs to stop the air raid. I think we have those 2 things which is big.

To be fair, this is said every offseason regardless of what is in the cupboard.
On tRant, when LSU isn't playing, they are the best team on the planet.

The difference to me is we had a Nati capable offense in 2023 in Jayden 2nd year. Our Defense was atrocious. I think we have close to as good of an offense next year as then. With the addition of highly touted CBs, we can have a 25th ranked Defense instead of a 115th ranked Defense like 2023.
Top 5 Offense and Top 25 Defense can win you a Nati. I'm assuming all the high ranked CBs coming in and the Va Tech one pan out.
In 2023, most our DBs were 3 stars besides Sage Ryan who a 5 star, but now reranked as a 3 star in the portal. We have a 5 star and 2 high 4 stars coming in at CB for next year.
Delane from Va Tech is extremely good. 54 tackles which is a lot for a CB. 2 FF. 4 INTs. 7 PD. That is a top 5 CB season right there.

I just don't see it. Not just because Daniels is a more dynamic QB than Nuss, but also because I don't think our returning receivers are anywhere close to Nabors and BTJ.
Unlike with Daniels, with Nuss at QB you HAVE to have a good RB stable, which we don't have.

I think we do. Caden Durham when healthy is good. Also a 5 star RB is coming in next year.

As you pointed out with Sage Ryan, this is too volatile to pencil in.

As for WR's, BTJ had 350 yards his 2nd to last season. Aaron Anderson had 750 yards this year. Nic Collins had 800 yards as a True Freshman. That is more than BTJ and Malik Nabers combined in their Freshman year. Chris Hilton when healthy imo can be as good as them.
I think you're vastly underrating the WRs. AA put up over 2x what BTJ did in his 2nd year. I think we have 3 very good WR's. That doesn't even include Brown who had several kickoff and punt returns for TDs.

That's more to do with the offensive play calling than the ability of the receiver.
We threw the ball more than any team in the SEC because we had no run game to speak of.

The Speed at WR will be elite. Chris Hilton I heard is fastest on team. Definitely saw it on the deep pass in bowl game. Aaron Anderson is very shifty and fast. Barion Brown may have fastest 40 yard dash at a combine. Nic Collins I have no clue if fast or not, but 800 yards as a true freshman beats any LSU WR in recent history.

Add in Trey Dez Green, who showed when Mason Taylor was out, that he could put up 60 yards and 2 TDs in the bowl game. He will be a big threat in the End Zone. Much like Terrace Marshall in 2019. It will be an air raid.

Chances are, not every single guy you listed is going to improve upon last season or come in and live up to the hype... It never happens outside of 2019.

Yeah you're just wrong. This will be a Top 5 offense in the country. There's immense talent at WR, TE, RB, and QB. Offensive line will be the only thing to hinder.

Anyone with half brain knows LSU will be top 5 next year and have a chance to make a title run.
This roster is stacked.

And Nic Collins averaged 21 yards per reception on his 800 yards as freshman. At 6'4, 21 YPC, that tells me elite speed.

Peak offseason thread.
EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE GREAT AND THERE WILL BE NO GROWING PAINS AT ALL!!!

If LSU beats Clemson then optimism will be sky high

My prediction:
AA 1,000 yards
Collins 1,000 yards
Hilton 800-1000 yards if healthy and plays every game
Barion Brown (who had over 600 yards as a True Freshman when Kentucky had Levis, but now have some scrub) - 500-600 yards
TreyDez Green 700 yards
Caden Durham 400 yards
Berry 150 yards
I think Nuss eclipses 4,500 yards. I think Caden when healthy and new 5 star RB at least take the load off somewhat better than this year. We had 1500 rushing yards entire season for the team. I think we get closer to 2000 next year with healthier and better backs. Harlem Berry is very good. Durham is as well, he made a lot of runs that should've been stopped in the backfield due to bad blocking.
Top 5 offense. Defense will be the bigger concern with more unknowns.

I'm assuming you mean Nic Anderson but I agree with you. LSU will have the deepest & most talented WR room in the country. Also the 5* star RB, Harlem Berry has to speed & quickness to be motioned out or simply lined up wide. Sloan has his work cut out for him because he's going to have plenty to work with. The offense just needs to improve at run blocking & pass pro on the interior.

Yes, I was thinking of Nico Collins for some reason.

I think you sleeping on Kyle Parker who flashed before getting injured this season.
