Hypothetically, if O were to be let go today, who jumps at the opportunity?

Which P5 schools, if any, would be chomping at the bit to talk to him or hire him?
Which P5 fan base would gladly trade their current coach for him, no questions asked?
Would any other SEC program be interested?
I am struggling to come up with any P5 programs of any significant relevance.

With Alleva running the show I'd say not many. You literally were in this situation last year and we ended up with Orgeron.

Got to hope BOD votes no confidence in Alleva first.

That's because there are none. He wanted the Syracuse job in 2015. Syracuse didn't even bring him in for an interview. If he were let go today he would eventually be hired on as a DL coach somewhere.

You’re gonna have to lose Alleva first.

No one.
And in the opposite direction who would want LSU?

Sadly, he'd get even less action than Miles has gotten. Although, I don't think Miles has been trying real hard to land a job.

The list would be identical to Miles list!

The point is that this is problematic for a school that wants to consider itself a powerhouse, Top Tier program.
Now ... instead of Ed Orgeron ... ask the same questions with these names ... were they to come on the open market today:
- Nick Saban
- Urban Meyer
- James Franklin
- Kirby Smart
- Dabo Swinney
- Lincoln Riley
That's just a small sampling from some really good teams. The list could get much bigger even from middle of the pack teams.
It's just laughable. And, somehow ... many on here think this sorry-arse experiment will end well?
The point is ... it cannot be said enough.

An SEC school would take him as a DL coach for his recruiting prowess and likely willingness to recruit against his "dream school", LSU. He wouldn't get any P5 HC looks though.

P5? He wouldn't even get a look from an FCS school.

I think some FCS schools would be interested ... if they thought they could afford him.

Who cares about other school opinions? A better question is who would want to take his place? What does the pool of coaches look like after you filter the ones available and capable of beating the SEC on a yearly basis?

After Miles' disaster of an interview with Houston that revealed how out of touch he is, he isn't sniffing another job try or not.
