Why wouldn’t they host at another field close to home that has enough hotel availability to meet requirements but still keep home field advantage?

I’m sure the special Olympics was contracted over a year ago.

Missouri St got screwed several years ago due to playing their games in a minor league park and having a scheduling conflict. They had to go on the road to Arkansas instead

Indianapolis is just over an hour away. Crazy they couldn't find a solution with a big city that close and a week to prepare for the possibility.
