The game should be in hand by then and most fans will have their hand looms out weaving victory afghans, or throws if you prefer.

I just don't get how you can structure your entire day around a game just to leave early. You went through the trouble of getting there and getting in....then you're suddenly in a rush to get home?

Regarding the traffic, when I was a kid, my uncle would have us sit in the stadium until most people were gone "to avoid the drunk drivers.". Back then that meant staying an extra 45mins...today it means leaving at the 2min mark.

Did you not know that we expanded the stadium. We have had more than 90k many times. I think this game will be full in the first quarter. 75% full to start the 4th then it will depend on the score from there. Most of the season ticket holders around me either sold their tickets or had kids and grandkids the first couple games. Expect the normal crowd for this the ole miss and the Bama game.
And for those that leave early, you aren't true fans.

Can you really beat traffic by leaving early?

Ok so I just don't get it. If you want to beat traffic then just stay home.

I suppose, for me and a few others, GOING to the game entails traffic after. All part of the experience.

Exactly it like any other event. Assume it is gonna be a cluster getting out and just enjoy the experience. We wait all year for these 7-8 nights a year.

Right yet it seems many plot all year on how to leave early and beat the traffic. If you're tired take a nap in your parking spot.

I'll never understand why, supposedly, die-hard LSU fans (or any other fan, for that matter) won't commit to dedicating a few hours, seven times a year, to watch a game. I can understand someone preferring to stay at home, but I can't understand wanting to only show up for a portion of a game.

You gotta be fricking kidding me. The only way a mass exodus of people leave in the 4th is if we are up big or losing big. The games last year sucked and the weather somehow found a way to ruin the experience whether it was shitty rain in september, 95 fricking degrees without a cloud in a 100 mile radius, rain again this time colder, and freezing cold. Don't put too much stock into last year.

I don't understand. Are you saying that there has never been more than 90k attendees in Tiger Stadium? If yes, why do you believe that?

According to LSU officials, we have had 90K actual attendance only twice. One time was alabama 2012. Maybe UF, 2009 was the other. We had 74K actual against Sam Hustopn and 76K actual versus ULM.

I say 84K Saturday with 55K to start the 4th q no matter the score.

According to LSU all top 50 attendance games were over 92000 paid. I realized that isn't actual but I would be willing to bet every bama and florida game had over 92k paid over the past 10 years. Some may leave early but they show up and count as actual attendance.
