You are, though. To compare them, you have to ask yourself what Saban would have done if he stayed.
We dont know. What we do know is he lost 3 or more every year but once at lsu.

You're exactly 100% right. He's changed. A lot. S
You have no clue what youre talking about. He has not changed a lot. They still run a prostyle offense that is built upon the run. Do you even watch Bama play football?

You really don't understand the difference in building a powerhouse and maintaining one. As and job was much harder than CLMs
This ^^^ Prior to Miles coming, LSU had just started becoming a prestigious destination for out of state players. Plus LSU kept nearly all of its top in state players.
Miles arriving when LSU coming into modern day elite status gave him a great head start. That's not taking away his accomplishments, it's just fact.
Add: bottom line-- if CLM didn't lie to us about modernizing the offense at the end of last season, we wouldn't be having this thread right now.

u said last night that degrading into insults indicates ones argument is poor.
Thats no an insult. He is saying buildimg a powerhouse is harder than maintaining one. Its common knowledge that its the other way around. As much as he posts on here he should know things that are common knowledge.

Well, I'm done here. You think that Saban is the same as he was back then. You're an idiot that can't be reasoned with.

Building a powerhouse is easier.
My god. Please point to all these programs that are good for a decade and then point to all the programs that have a good 2-3 year run. This is elementary stuff im football man.

Answer my other question. The one you also didn't answer last night.
How exactly can last night be reason he must go when you also want to argue that everyone who said it before last night was wrong.

Please point to how HE is different. He is different because he had the power to hire an oc that most coaches couldnt have? He is still a great recruiter that believes in defense 1st and still believes you run to set up the pass. So instead of just spouting shite explain your point,

Yeah. That's just a patently stupid position on his part.
He seems to think saying it makes it so

How TF is it easier????
You have top recruits that don't even LOOK at your school when you're not a powerhouse.
How is it easier to turn Colorado St into a perennial contender?
Do tell

Holy frick man. You're splicing bull shite there.
Hiring a guy out of what you normally would want to run IS CHANGING YOU GODDAMNED IDIOT.
Now I see why you like Miles. You'd refuse to acknowledge the need to change too

Holy shite. I was in favor of firing him if we were getting jimbo. It wast just last night. Ive repeatedly said he can not evaluate qbs and he wont put his players in a position to succeed.
My gripe is with posters saying he was a shitty coach and posters acting like his tenure wasnt the best im lsu history. You can want a change at head coach without shitting on the last 11 years of lsu football.

Thats not him changing dumbass. Thats him having enough power to hire an oc that hasnt bene good everywhere. They still run a prostyle offense dumbass.
So please explain how he has changed A LOT by just hiring a coach no one else wanted to hire.
Or are you saying simply hiring Lane Means he has changed alot?

When did this problem start?
When did it become apparent to you?

2009.
2008 with not putting players in a position to succeed. Everyone in the world could see that Jlee couldnt handle pressure well yet they repeatedly left him without a rb to block and never rolled him out

So it started on 2009.
How did it manifest itself? What on the field evidence led to to this conclusion?

It's not a pro style offense if you mean NFL-style offense. Literally a handful of teams use the FB in NFL, it's almost an extinct position.
If you mean "pro-style" by the classic definition of 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE....that is a dinosaur offense that is lagging behind the curve & hardly has a place anymore in football
