Sure. It was a terrible game plan.

I say after 9-30-17 fans should be concerned.

you think the 2017 team was on the same level as 2011? bama 2017 was on the same level as their 2011 team though. I will let you think about why your comparison is dumb

I was about to say, you could replace "1/9/12" with "Troy" and "Miles" with "O" and it would be right on point.

we've still lost at least 3 games a season, and to teams that we shouldn't lose to, and we still have games where we've played down to weaker opponents.

Next to nothing has changed.

Why does what we have done the last 2 years bother you then?

It bothers me because we made a coaching change so things would be better. Not the same.

yall tout CLM for that but hate O for it?

I don't hate o for going 10-3 last year. I'm just acting now, the same way all of you sad-sacks acted when Miles was winning 10 games a year. Why does that bother you so much?

Given the known factors, I think that's a pretty decent calculation.

I can say that I'll never win the lottery. Is the fact that the probability is non-zero make that an absurd statement?

I don't agree with Ricky that it's 0% chance that he wins the West. I do believe that the odds are much closer to 0% than 51%.

It's real tough when we have a division loss practically built into the schedule every year under this coach.

Things are not the same. They're not where they need to be, but Miles' SEC West record became abysmal.

The biggest problem in recent years came in division play, especially when it came time to face Alabama. The Tigers went 2-7 against Ole Miss, Arkansas and Alabama over the previous three seasons and haven't beaten Alabama since the 2011 regular season, a stretch of five straight defeats to the Tide.

No I don't.

Do you think 2017 Troy was on the same level as 2011 Alabama?

Nowhere in my post did I mention the 2017 Bama team.

I was comparing the 9-30-17 Troy loss to the 1-9-12 loss. If you thought I was talking about the 2017 Bama team, (don't know how or why you'd think that) you're the dumb one in this conversation.

Sure Roger, I liked Miles. Sue me.

At least I never blamed the S&C coach for anything while Miles was the coach. Even though that's where my "loyalty lies." Imagine that.

But since you have blamed the S&C coach for certain things the past 6 months or so, I guess that tells us where your loyalty lies.

I dunno brother. Under this coach, we're 1-2 vs UF, 1-1 vs MSU, and 0-3 vs Bama, haven't even shown a pulse in that series. And we lost for the first time to A&M.

And while not a division loss, the Troy loss did as much to damage the LSU brand as any game of the past 20 years.

Your problem is you can't let go, and it's the entirety of your loyalty. Everything you say supports this

If Orgeron wins the SEC, it would be a blow to you because it would validate Miles firing.

Thanks Roger, I will.

You just keep on blaming everyone but o for things that go south concerning the football program. Ok little buddy.

That's ironic that Mr. Positive would have a problem with fans looking upon the golden days of LSU with fondness.

If. Why don't we live in reality for now?

There is no indication based on what he has done here at LSU that should give anyone a reason to say "he will never win a west title at LSU"...do you think anyone who speaks that way will really be happy if he does?

Of course. I will be just as happy when/if he wins any kind of title as I was with Miles. I was actually disappointed that he didn't take the Michigan job. Again, the end result is the most important thing here, it's the getting there that people disagree with. This is nothing new. My parents took me to games when I was in diapers. My dad and his friends would bitch and argue every year at the tailgate party. When LSU won, everyone was happy and high giving each other. The same thing went on with Miles on this board. For the life of me I can't understand what this current coach has done to warrant having to explain this over and over and over all the time.

You must not have season tickets. Coaches come and go.

Nope. Never had season tickets and now I mainly don't go anymore due to other issues.

I think many on here don't remember the 90's

I think most do and the thought of going back to that scares the shite out of them and makes everything more hypersensitive and people overreact more.

Yet you think 2014 was a golden year

Because we have improved on that

Oh yippee. He improved upon Miles's very worst seasons.

Bar lowering at its finest.

You don't have a fricking clue Roger. But even if this were true. Why does it bug you so fricking much?

Does my supporting of Miles when he was here ruin your day? Does it give you heartburn or something?

That was Miles norm the last couple of years. 19-10 over the last couple seasons plus 2016 isn't nothing to be proud of
