My point exactly. It isn't unethical that they changed it, but I agree that they should have referenced the change. That is where they messed up.

LSU's legal name is Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. You dont here of people getting butt hurt for using LSU. There are tons of universities that do not use their legal name ie University of Texas is really University of Texas at Austin. Nevada is really university of Nevada at Reno. A university can ask / use a variation of ones legal name

It doesn't matter what "most people in laffy" say. It matters what the university has used as its official name(s). For their own paper to disregard that...

I hate them using UL but to be fair about the quote thing ~ The Advocate changes UL quotes to ULL all the time. They're just getting even.
