Exactly. Sucks how everything went down, but I'm more confident about the 3rd than I was 2 weeks ago.

But is it saying one concerns him less than the other

Its highly unlikely that Lee's feeling on starting and his feelings on JJ's loss are completely level and equal.

Its not far fetched to assume one out weighs the other. Just because I feel he may be more excited about playing than he is depressed over JJ doers not support you conclusion that I'm saying Lee has a " fuchkall" attitude.

Any reasonable poster here would understand your intent.

In fact, one would have to go out of his way to not understand.

Thank you Jay.

We won last year in spite of JJ. Now that we won't have him slowing us down, and Lee has an opportunity, I think Lee will play very well. He's probably pumped, especially because the Ducks' uniforms are easily distinguishable from the Tigers.

I disagree.

I think Lee isn't thinking about his getting the starting job in any more than a passing sense right now. I think he is preoccupied with his friend being arrested.

But that is because I think he is a decent human being.

Which I did not do. . .I just broke them down to their simplest element and repeated them back to you.

In other words he is more concerned with what benefits him and his career, than what happens to his friends and teammates.

Which is the same as saying "me first, frick all others". . .

Yes, you idiot. He's more concerned with that. This is his career. That doesn't constitute a "frick all" attitude. Would you gripe about getting a huge promotion (potentially millions of dollars) in your workplace or feel bad because justice is being done to your boss who committed second degree battery?

That's highly unlikely. Lee is human and Lee recognizes the opportunity being afforded to him. He may well feel bad for JJ but that IMO is secondary to his excitement over starting next weekend.

In any event, our debate isn't over which feeling is more prevalent. It about you taking my opinion on the matter and assigning a different meaning to it.

And in your opinion he wouldn't be a decent human being if his excitement out weighted his feelings for JJ? He would lose at pretense at decency over this one issue?

He would lose any semblance of decency on this issue, yes.

Well, for the sake of Lee's future offspring let's hope he too broken up over JJ to attend practice for the next couple of days at least.
