Nikona

It's Nokona in case anyone was looking for one.

I had a Nokona softball glove (outfielders glove) way back when I played. Bought it in the early 90s. Pissed my wife off by spending $120 bucks on a glove. $120 was very pricey at that time for the average rec player.

By far the best glove I've ever owned but that was before the proliferation of high end equipment so I couldn't tell you what is worth crap these days.

If your looking to save some money on a Marucci bat I just bought the F5 for my baseball team for $120 and it has just as much pop as the Cat9

heart of the hide is right there with the a2000.

I do not get the heart of the hide love. It's not even rawlings' premier glove, the pro preferred is and it blows the heart of the hide out of the water. Nokonas are wayyyy too hard to break in and not remotely worth the price.

Infield gloves
1a - A2000
1b - pro preferred

Mizouno makes the best outfield gloves in my opinion.

Yeah, back when I bought mine, that was one of the selling points of the Nokonas, no break in required. Looks like now they offer a lot more models.

heart of the hide isnt now but its much more popular than the pro preferred at the HS level and below from what i have seen. All rawlings top end gloves are bad arse but are very hard to break in to the point it is stupid.

i do think that wilson and rawlings are better, but marucci is also 33% cheaper usually.

in generaly you cant go wrong with wilson or rawlings. I havent messed with mizouno any but will be looking soon for an outfielders glove, so thanks for the recommendation.

i have a nokona glove i have had for 20 years. Lacing finally gave way a could months ago, go tot get it redone. I love that glove but they are not even close to worth the price, 100% agree with you there.

ETA: I thought the REV series was rawlings new top of the line?

Also has anyone messed with the C2 glove from marucci?

I also wanna look at the line gavin cecchini just came out with called Luccini.

I've been seeing that. I guess because they're usually ~$100 cheaper. From the age of like 13 to 20, I only bought one new glove. I would always trade various items with friends, so I literally didn't have to break in any glove besides a mizzouno outfielders glove, I beleive it was this model. EXTREMELY easy to break in. Shift the fingers to the left and that thing was practically 13 inches and had unlimted range

The 11.25 pro preffered I used was slightly broken in to the point where it was usable, but I was still able to shape it to how I wanted it.

The 11.5 inch A2000 I had was the flimsiest (in a good way) premier glove I ever had. I loved that thing so much. Had just enough give for scooping and short hops but not too flimsy where you couldn't make plays.

I've never used a marrucci glove, but I've been around a bunch of them. The leather seems lighter, and softer, somewhere in between an A2000 and Rawlings gold glove.

3rd baseman wearing a Marrucci glove. Then I noticed the same for the pitcher and maybe the catcher.

If one player is using a Marrucci or Wilson or any glove than they all are. The teams are sponsored and all use the same type of equipment.
