Especially a school that LSU hasn't played in ten seasons (2009) and hasn't scored a touchdown against LSU since before the Great Depression (1924).

Nearly half of ULL athletics financial support comes from taxpayer subsidy in the form of "direct institutional support." Go to Schedule A (Page 15 of 23) of the most recent state auditor's report. This is now up to $14.5 million. Football revenue = only $1.6 million. That really sounds like a program bigger conferences would want to scoop up. They would be at best FCS if forced to sink or swim in the marketplace. Last time I looked Tech is ~$10 million DIS and ULM is around $7-8 million. And people cry because there are not funds for real needs around the state.

I was a LSU fan before I went to UL, while I attended UL, and still am now after graduating from UL. UL's season was like icing on the cake for me. I really do not understand why its such a weird concept for people to like both, the "hate/rivalry" there seems forced and stupid

I see ULL just like ULM, Tech, or NSU. They are all on par with each other and not on the same level as LSU. The sad part is they don’t embrace that. Instead they try to rival LSU for some reason. Tech had better WB for years but still understood they weren’t LSU. I attended both ULM and LSU and knew the difference. I wear both colors. ULL can’t seem to do this. They want to be UL instead of ULL because people from out of state won’t know the difference and will think they are more important. Just be yourselves. And people like the OP need to stop feeding their need on an LSU board. This was never a problem with the two divisions, teams knew their place and tried to be the best at it.

Those people are delusional. I actually had a Cajun fan tell me that had they played LSU like they played in their bowl game, they would have won the game if it would have been at Cajun Field !!!!!
