How often does Clemson try to sub on Defense?

It seems to me that LSU’s starting 11 on offense can literally run every play in the book, which means we dont have to sub any guys if we dont want to.
Does clemson like to rotate a lot of guys to give different looks on defense? If so, its going to be a long night for them

They do, Ohio State was able to move at will because of this until Dobbins got hurt and Ohio State started subbing more.

But they have Isaiah Simmons and he can play DE, NT, ILB, OLB, CB, FS, and SS so no need for them to sub. He's a one man defense.

If they put him at LB to try and cover CEH, they will be exposed on the perimeter. Put him wherever you want, he can’t cover 6 players on every play.

The operative word is “try”. An uptempo offense stops that. Problem is we score to quickly and the D stays pretty fresh :-) I look for the staff to mix up the tempos in this one. A chess match of coordinators for the ages.

Our offense will just kill them. They dont have the skilled defensive guys to cover our hurry up
